In this third installment, we will explore the emergence of Christianity amidst the early phases of the Roman Empire’s emergence as the new marcher lord of Babylon.

The Rise of Christianity

Amidst this moral rot and decadence, the new ministry of Jesus was just beginning in the Roman satrapy of Palestine. But it was something that the Roman Empire was more than happy to ignore, as it appeared in Roman eyes to be just another one of many messianic Jewish cults that would arise from time to time.

Unlike the countless other Jewish messianic sects that came and went, this new movement led by Jesus of Nazareth did not disappear the way the Romans had presumed it would. Instead, it grew quite fast.

In the first century AD, Rome was relying on an ever-increasing use of slavery which fed the decadent city centers of Rome. The Roman population was fed blood sports, gladiator matches, and nearly non-stop festivals to keep them placated, drunk and docile. Orgiastic Festivals were increasingly becoming hegemonic in the urban city centers, while the outskirts of the empire were constantly being looted and abused as lower caste satraps.

During the forty years after Christ is killed, the two monotheistic groups in Rome: Jews and Christians, were systematically attacked by the authorities, but rarely at the same time since Rome’s policy typically aimed to building animosity between the two Abrahamic groups - rarely missing an opportunity to amplify resentment and division between them.

Under the perverse emperor Caligula who ruled from 37-41 AD, an edict was passed demanding all synagogues to host statues of the emperor as a god and all Jews were commanded to pay sacrifices. Predictably, the majority of the Jews refused, and in response, their properties were confiscated all over the Roman Empire.

From Caligula to Nero

Under Caligula, thousands of Jews who refused to sacrifice to the pagan gods were massacred. This set the stage for the first of the three Roman Jewish wars that took place between 66-135 AD resulting in the destruction of the Kingdom of Judea that had been managed as a Roman satrap, the destruction of the Temple of Solomon in 70 AD under Emperor Titus and the failed Simon Bar Kochba revolt in 135 AD leaving over a million Jews dead.

Under Caligula, the Christians were not yet targeted for annihilation. However, that changed with the rise of the infamous Emperor Nero who ruled from 54-68 AD. It is at this time that the Committee of 15 revealed to Nero that the Sibylline Books demanded Christianity to be labelled an “illegal cult”. Those who refused to abandon their faith would be considered traitors to the state and would face persecution, confiscation of property and in many cases death. Despite a few respites, these anti-Christian persecutions would continue over the ensuing two and a half centuries.

The primary crime of the new Christian movement was its rejection of the Roman Pantheon of Gods, and its acceptance of only one God with a unifying moral code. The moral code of the Christians made no space for the acts of “holy profanity” and deviancy promoted by the initiatory rites and rituals of the pagan cults of Isis, Mithra, Diana and Cybele.

With Jesus’ new movement with its emphasis on grace, forgiveness, and health of the soul over the pleasures of flesh, the polytheistic debauchery, endemic in the mystery cult practices and bread/circus culture faced a mortal threat. Mystery Cults were clearly recognized as unholy by the new movement, and a healthier way of living in harmony with God was suddenly made available to everyone. Christians held firm to the concept that there was actually only one God which is both finite and infinite, mortal and immortal, transcending the created world and but also alive within.

This new idea met a deep spiritual thirst. As Jesus outlined in the Gospels, the true God is not one of vengeance, or hedonism. It is a God of Grace, Goodness and Reason. But there are certain conditions upon which that grace can express itself which is directly tied to how each person choses to live, and where they place their faith.

And that was not compatible with the dominant Roman pantheon, and thus the high priesthood decided that it needed to be destroyed. However, that is easier said than done.

Nero needed to have an excuse. He needed to polarize the Roman public against the Christians somehow. Working with his Mithraic Praetorian Guard, Nero launches a major false flag and sets fire to much of his own Rome, famously playing his beloved fiddle. He then blamed it on the Christian “terrorists.”

In their terror and ignorance, the Roman populus gave their support to Nero’s anti-Christian persecutions. Soon, thousands of Christians were arrested and thrown into gladiator arenas to be eaten alive by starving beasts in front of massive crowds. Featured in the painting below, you can see the perimeter of the Roman arena set with “Roman candles”. Roman candles were torchlit fires set ablaze on the bodies of oil-drenched Christians tied to wooden poles which would keep the Coliseum lit alongside tormented screams all through the nights for months on end.

As gruesome as this frenzy of killing was, it turned out to be surprisingly counterproductive for Nero and the cults.

The population of Rome became increasingly ashamed by the courage of those Christians who met death with solemn piety, and slowly, the population began to break from their bloodlust and hedonistic conditioning.

The games became less and less popular, and instead of watching the destruction of Christianity, ever larger numbers of Roman subjects, including members of the military, political class, and nobility alike began converting to the new faith. The new faith recognized no caste, and made no differentiation whether someone was a king, a nobleman, or slave.

For the first time, the “mysteries” were not merely for those initiated few who achieved an irrational state of ‘gnosis’, but were accessible to literally everyone, due to the fact of humanity’s common heritage as having been made in the living image of the Creator. In Paul’s letters to the Romans, the message of the universality of the truth written on the hearts of all people…

“For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified. For when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do what the law requires, they are a law to themselves, even though they do not have the law. They show that the work of the law is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness”

[Romans 2:13-16]

Additionally, the type of sacrifices which the god of the Christians demanded was like nothing ever before seen. No animal, no human or monetary sacrifice was expected in this new faith… for what need does God the creator of all have of anything? After his child died for the sins of humanity, no other sacrifice would be necessary. Now the only sacrifice expected would be acts of goodness and charity.

As Paul says to the Hebrews:

“There is no eternal city for us in this life, but we look for one in the life to come. Through him, let us offer God and unending sacrifice of praise. Keep doing good works and sharing your resources, for these are sacrifices that please God.”

Even if someone was born long before Jesus, the universal laws of Justice and Truth which Jesus taught were not created at any point in time, but are, by definition, universal. This is why Paul noted that following the law written on our hearts and conscience means everyone can be saved. This is a concept which Augustine also utilizes in his writings extensively.

The Persecutions Continue

The anti-Christian persecutions launched by Nero subsided over the ensuing decades, but re-emerged periodically over two and a half centuries.

Under the Emperor Domitian, the persecutions were relaunched in 90 AD, and under Trajan they came back again from 98-117 AD.

In 161 AD, Emperor Marcus Aurelius, a high priest of the Cult of Mithra relaunched the anti-Christian persecutions, and from 202-211 AD Septimanus Severus did the same.

A short respite occurred from 244-249 AD under the first Christian emperor ‘Philip the Arab’ who favored the Christians but were restarted again under the cruel Emperor Diocletian.

The persecutions finally ended in 312 AD with the death of Diocletian. When Emperor Constantine took power in 311, the Edict of Toleration was passed recognizing Christianity as movement to be tolerated. Christianity was officially recognized as a sanctioned religion with the Treaty of Milan of 313. To get a sense of the growth of Christianity from this point forward, in the year 300 AD, there existed approximately 5-6 million members, yet by 350 AD it had grown to at least 33 million!

In 324, the first ecumenical council in Nicaea is held in order to sort out the many different theories and practices of Christian doctrine held by the numerous factions of the church. This event resulted in the first agreed-upon consensus about the nature of Jesus the son, God the father, Creation, and the Holy Spirit. This consensus became known as ‘the Nicene Creed’.

The Council of Nicaea (325 AD)

The highly fragmented movement made a major victory with the Nicaean Council, which created a central core doctrine and ability to carry out coordinated action. Before Nicaea, the movement was a highly decentralized and infiltrated movement with many gnostic pseudo-Christian cults like that created by Simon the Magus which sought to destroy the new movement from within.^[5]

The Nicene Creed stipulated that the central doctrine of Christianity would be the faith that all mankind were made in the living image of God (Imago Viva Dei) and had the mandate to participate in creation (Capax Dei). This doctrine was a major departure from the norms of all pagan cults which tended to reduce humanity to the status of wildlife under various types of nature worship rituals. The Christian doctrine generally, and the Nicene creed specifically, placed humanity on a divine pedestal as steward of nature instead, with many higher moral responsibilities to both be fruitful and multiply.^[6]

While the political power gained through the successes of the Council of Nicaea ensured Christianity’s survival, compromises were made over the course of the coming centuries by church leaders who agreed to infuse already existent Pagan rites such as the veneration of angels and dead saints (begun in 374 AD), the establishment of sacred meals (called Sacraments) into the Christian practice (begun in 394 AD), and the worship of Mary begun in 431 AD. Many ceremonies utilized by the cults of Mithra were also infused into Christianity such as the treatment of “Sun” day as holy and the decision to celebrate Jesus’ birthday on December 25.

The creation of Popes based in the Vatican dubbed ‘Holy Fathers’, and edicts of celibacy for Hierophants, and a myriad of other rites were infused into Church practice over the coming centuries were not found anywhere in the Gospels.

In The Strategic Significance of Ecumenical Negotiations^[7], the modern Platonic philosopher Lyndon LaRouche (1923-2019) delivered the following insight into the battles at Nicaea and the strategic importance of the Nicene Creed:

“The formal history of the doctrine is this. The defense of the principled features of the doctrine, for both Judaism and later for Christianity, was first elaborated to the best of our present knowledge by Philo Judaeus of Alexandria. The most concise statement of the doctrine occurs in the opening verses of the New Testament Gospel of St. John, as reaffirmed with emphasis by the Nicene faith, inclusive of the Roman Catholic version of the Nicaean Credo.

All Western Christianity is founded on the elaborated defense of this doctrine by St. Augustine.

In Eastern Christianity, the top-down control of the church apparatus by the cult-linked Roman Imperial oligarchy, from the evil Emperor Constantine through the Emperor Justinian and others, limited the defense of Christianity to principally the Platonic faction of the Greek-speaking world, those forces identified over centuries to the present date by their defense of the teaching of the classical Greek associated with the span from Homer into Plato. The prolonged control of the leadership of the Eastern Church by pseudo-Christian cultists, typified by Patriarch Gennadios during the 15th century, caused a cleavage between the Western and Eastern churches, a cleavage defined by the cultist pseudo-Christian’s rejection of the perfect consubstantiality of the Trinity…

The affinity of the Eastern Platonic Fathers to the subsequent doctrine of St. Augustine is to be found in the decrees and resolutions of the first two Ecumenical Councils, of Nicaea and Constantinople, which produced two basic tenets of Christianity, the Nicaean Credo, a liturgical affirmation of faith in the Triune God; and the broader body of doctrine, known as the Nicene faith, which, independently of liturgical forms, affirms the incarnated Christ to be consubstantial, or homoousios, with God the Father. The Eastern Platonic Fathers, always a minority, had to struggle at all times against the authority of the Emperor and simultaneously against the numerically overwhelming Egyptian and related cults whose main effort centered in challenging under various guises, the homoousios, or consubstantial nature of the Christ; some cult-heresies asserted Christ to be only divine and not human, others only human and not divine, some both divine and human but whose divine nature is distinct from that of the Father, or from that of the Father and the Holy Spirit; in this vast mess of cultist challenges to Christianity, the most severe menace for a long time was the cult of Sabellians who asserted Christ’s exclusively divine nature, complementing the Arian heresy, similar to modern “Liberation Theology”; the ordinary bishops who assembled at Nicaea and Constantinople to condemn the Arian heresy, generally feared that admission of the homoousios clause would open the floodgates of the Sabellian heresy. It took the exceptional efforts of three outstanding Platonist Fathers, St. Basil of Caesarea, St. Gregory of Nazianzus, and St. John Chrysostom, to enforce, by means of maneuvers and compromises, the homoousios doctrine.

Part of the compromise was the omission of the Filioque from the liturgical credo of the Eastern Church, i.e., the declaration that the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and from the Son (Filioque in Latin). St. Augustine and the Western Fathers, struggling at the outskirts of the Empire to bring barbarian tribes into civilization, could not afford to make such a compromise on penalty of seeing their evangelizing work fail; the practical issue concealed behind consubstantiality, homoousios, and its corollary matter of the Filioque, was: how to draw man into civilized life by inspiring him to strive to become “godlike” through imitation of the incarnated Christ, the God-Man who is homoousios, consubstantial of God.

The Roman Imperial aristocracy at Constantinople, with the Emperor at its head, retaliated by launching a systematic struggle against Platonism throughout the Eastern Empire. It is most precise to say that what is popularly derided as “Byzantine politics” was founded during the 313-529 period as a high-level epistemological warfare between Platonism and Aristotelianism.

Under Emperor Theodosius I of the Western Empire and Gracian of the Eastern Empire, Christianity was officially made the state religion after the Edict of Thessalonica in 380 AD.

Of course, people can criticize the Nicene Creed and say, “oh, it’s a corrupt fraud because it was just Rome repackaging some of their corrupt habits in the form of Christianity”, but the truth is much more nuanced.

Of course, compromises with the ruling system in Rome had occurred and infusions of rites popularized by the Roman pantheon occurred through many battles before, during and after the Edict of Thessalonica, but as LaRouche emphatically made clear in the quote above, something more important was in play.

In Nicene Christianity, the core universal principles and lessons embedded in the Bible were maintained. With an agreed-upon canonized list of writings that would be permitted into the official holy book, fragmentation and division was kept at bay, and most importantly, teachings of universal wisdom were made available to all. All of the key universal lessons were kept intact.

Obviously, many of the writings of the Bible are allegorical and open to a wide array of interpretation, but at the same time, you don’t want to make it so liberal that it loses its essence and potency becoming an infinitely malleable relativistic body of teachings.

As already mentioned, the ‘Nicene Creed’ served as an important non-negotiable set of ideas which made it much more difficult for Christianity’s enemies to infiltrate and divide the movement from within. Among the most important of the concepts within Nicene Christianity is the concept of the Filioque.

This concept of the Trinity asserted that God has three aspects: 1) The Father/Creator, 2) The Sun/Created and 3) The Spirit which flows through connecting each Christian to God in both infinite and finite manifestations.

The Importance of the Trinity

The idea of mankind being “made in the living image of God” was vitally important to Christianity, but so was the notion that the spirit of God emanated through both the concept of the Father and the Son. We can think of the concept of the “Holy Spirit” not as a spooky ghost, or spirit being as some superstitious fools do. But it is best thought of as that motive power which causes yearning for perfectibility, motion, transformation, improvement, discernment, love for the transcendent beyond the concerns of ego and inspiration.

It is here extremely important to hold in mind that many of the arguments of early Church fathers- especially Origen of Alexandria (185-253 AD) which argued for the Trinitarian quality of God, came from deep studies of Plato’s Timaeus published in 360 BC.

This incredible Pythagorean cosmology outlined by Plato in that incredible dialogue established a framework to explore 1) the universe, 2) the nature of the Creator of our universe, and 3) humankind. Timaeus provided the most rigorous treatment of the trifold nature of existence ever seen until that time, emphasizing that all unity is not just simply one, but three.

That is to say, as soon as ANYTHING is created, or ANYTHING is changed in position or form, we have established three simultaneous things: 1) The created/changed thing as an effect, 2) the creator of that thing (i.e.: the cause of the effect), and 3) the process of creation/change itself.

The creator, the created, and creation. That which causes the change (noun), that which is changed (noun) and the process of change as a transformative verb.

We find this trifold quality also in music. If you take a singular string that has one frequency based upon the length and tightness of the string, and if you divide the string at any location, you don’t get two new lengths with two new frequencies, but rather three identities. Three sounds. Three relationships.

You see this displayed in geometry. Simply create a circle using a compass. When a circle is created through rotational motion, we don’t simply have “a circle” but rather three things: 1) we have the center of the circle (i.e.: the axis of rotation), 2) we have the circumference of the circle made possible by that axis of rotation, and then you have 3) the radius, which connects that finite center point with that infinitely divisible circumference.

This Platonic-Pythagorean concept may sound simple, but it is an extremely rich and more elegant concept than most people realize, and it became a foundation stone to Nicene Christianity which Augustine defended.

Put it this way: How can mortal finite humans possibly relate to an idea so infinite, divine and transcendent as the Creator of All?

This is the essence of the issue of the Filioque and Trinity. And it is the standard which literally provided the principal weapon against the counterfeit gnostic groups seeking to destroy Christianity from within.

One notable example of this type of counterfeit Christian was named Simon the Sorcerer who was introduced in the Acts of the Apostles in the New Testament.

Predictive Programming 101

Over the past several years, leading figures of the US political establishment including John Podesta, Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, Donald Trump and J.D. Vance have all openly chimed in on the importance of speaking about ET-government collusion.

Congressional testimonies in Mexico and the USA have polarized the collective imagination, and Hollywood dream makers such as George Lucas and Steven Spielberg have devoted entire careers to preparing the collective dream for the inevitable revelation of ET-human collusion… but where is this all truly coming from?

While you might think that the barrage of UFO-truth is coming out of nowhere, it’s effectiveness was only made possible by decades of predictive programming embedding storylines into the public’s imagination wearing the form of dystopic hellscapes, alien invasions, and stories of UFO disclosure financed by operations like Netflix (run by Edward Bernays’ grand nephew) and Tom DeLonge’s CIA-run To The Stars Academy. Not only has the CIA been found to be behind the vetting, funding, and production of thousands of films across the decades, but has also worked aggressively alongside other integrated intelligence networks under London’s vast Five Eyes octopus to conduct psychological warfare onto the populations living within the Trans Atlantic nations under the helm of such projects as MK Ultra and its myriad of affiliated programs.

But before UFO stories were cooked in the CIA’s kitchen in preparation for the grand unveiling of an inevitable alien invasion that would unite the world into a common front, the blueprint had been laid out by a leading operative of Britain’s 12 man Propaganda Bureau during World War One. This operative’s name was Herbert George Wells and his sci-fi classic War of the Worlds (written in 1897) became the fuel that induced mass panic across New York on October 30, 1938 just as a new world war was beginning across the Atlantic Ocean. It was on this evening that the Rockefeller Foundation bankrolled a two hour news feed of H.G. Wells’ alien invasion story while passing it off to a listening audience as an actual news feed blurring the line between fantasy and reality. Hundreds of confused radio-listeners stormed onto the streets believing earth was under attack and the social engineers watching the human zoo learned something useful about mass hysteria and alien stories.

H.G. Wells is best known for such fiction works as The War of the Worlds, The World Set Free, The Invisible Man, The Island of Doctor Morrow, and The Time Machine.

However Wells’ lesser-known non-fiction writings like The Open Conspiracy, The New World Order, The Outline of History, The Science of Life, and The World Brain served as guiding strategic blueprints for the entire 20th century war against sovereign nation states and the very idea of a society built on the premise of mankind made in the image of God. Before we can understand the grand design set into motion by Wells, we must first look to Wells’ mentor Thomas Huxley.

Thomas Huxley’s Revolution

The members of the London-centered oligarchy to which Wells had devoted himself at an early age had found themselves stuck in a rut by the turn of the 19th century. These inbred families and retainers who managed the dying British Empire had long been encrusted by the vices of decadence by the time a young man of low breeding and high talent arose amidst the London-ghettos treating syphilis patients as a surgeon’s assistant. This young surgeon’s name was Thomas Huxley.

Huxley possessed a sardonic wit, a deep misanthropy, and an intelligence that were soon discovered by powerful patrons, and by his mid-20’s, this young man found himself a rising star in Britain’s Royal Academy of Science. Here he quickly became a leading creative force, shaping Britain’s powerful X Club, serving as Darwin’s bulldog promoting popular debates featuring himself against literalist members of the clergy. In these debates he argued for Darwin’s chaos-bound interpretation of evolution. He also founded Nature magazine as a propaganda instrument which has been used to enforce scientific consensus favorable to a world empire to this very day.

Huxley chose his opponents carefully, ensuring that he could easily and publicly obliterate the arguments of simple-minded Anglican clergy, and thus convince all onlookers that the only choice they had to account for the evolution of new species was either literal Biblical creationism or his brand of Darwinian evolution. The many alternative scientific theories of the 19th century (such as those found in the works of Karl Ernst von Baer, Georges Cuvier, Lamarck and James D. Dana) which accounted for both the evolution of species, and the harmonics of all parts to a whole, as well as creative leaps, were forgotten amidst this false dichotomy.

Wells Picks up Huxley’s Torch

During his later years, Huxley mentored a young Herbert George Wells, together with a whole generation of new imperial practitioners of the arts of social engineering (and social Darwinism). This social engineering soon took the form of Galton’s eugenics quickly becoming an accepted science practiced across the western world.

Wells was himself the son of a lowly gardener, but, like Huxley, exhibited a strong misanthropic wit, passion, and creativity lacking in the high nobility, and he was thus raised from the lower ranks of society into the order of oligarchical management by the 1890s. During this moment of vast potential and — it cannot be restated enough — the oligarchical order that had grown overconfident during the 200+ years of hegemony were petrified to see the nations of the earth rapidly breaking free from this hegemony thanks to the international spread of Lincoln’s American System across Germany, Russia, Japan, South America, France, Canada, and even China with Sun Yat-sen’s 1911 republican revolution.

As outlined in volume one of ‘The Clash of the Two Americas’, the oligarchy just no longer seemed to have the creative vitality and sophistication required to snuff out these revolutionary flames.

Wells described this problem in the following terms:

“The undeniable contraction of the British outlook in the opening decade of the new century is one that has exercised my mind very greatly… Gradually, the belief in the possible world leadership of England had been deflated by the economic development of America and the militant boldness of Germany. The long reign of Queen Victoria, so prosperous, progressive and effortless, had produced habits of political indolence and cheap assurance. As a people we had got out of training, and when the challenge of these new rivals became open, it took our breath away at once. We did not know how to meet it…”

The science of population control advanced by Huxley, Galton, Wells, Mackinder, Milner, and Bertrand Russell was the basis for a new scientific priesthood and “world government” that would put a stop to the startling disequilibrium unleashed by the electric spread of sovereign nation states, protectionism, and commitment to scientific and technological progress.

Fabians, Round Tablers and Coefficients: New Think Tanks Emerge

H.G. Wells, Russell, and other early social engineers of this new priesthood organized themselves in several interconnected think tanks known as 1) the Fabian Society of Sidney and Beatrice Webb which operated through the London School of Economics, 2) the Round Table Movement begun by the fortunes left to posterity by the racist diamond magnate Cecil Rhodes which also gave rise to the Rhodes Trust, and Rhodes Scholarship programs established to indoctrinate young talent in the halls of Oxford, and finally 3) the Co-Efficients Club of London.

Wells described the rise of these original think tanks and documented the inner elite’s inability to meet the challenge of the times saying:

“Our ruling class, protected in its advantages by a universal snobbery was broad-minded, easy going and profoundly lazy… Our liberalism was no longer a larger enterprise, it had become a generous indolence. But minds were waking up to this. Over our table at St Ermin’s Hotel wrangle Maxse, Bellairs, Hewins, Amery and Mackinder, all stung by the small but humiliating tale of disasters in the South African war, all sensitive to the threat of business recession, and all profoundly alarmed by the naval and military aggressiveness of Germany.”

Fearful of the prospect of a US-Russia-German alliance for progress outlined in depth by Fabian/Roundtable members Halford Mackinder and Lord Alfred Milner, the solution was simple: kick over the chess board and get everyone to just slaughter each other.

In the wake of the destruction which left nine million dead on all sides and ruined countless lives, Wells, Russell and the Milner Roundtable became leading voices for world government under the League of Nations (c. 1919) advocating “enlightened cosmopolitanism” to replace the era of “selfish nation states”.

The Battle For World Government

A decade after its founding, the League was less successful than Wells and his co-thinkers would have liked, with nationalists from around the world recognizing the evil hand of empire lurking behind the apparent language of “liberal values and world peace”. Sun Yat-sen, among many others was among the anti-Wellsian voices and warned his fellow Chinese in 1924 not to fall into this trap saying:

“The nations which are employing imperialism to conquer others and which are trying to maintain their own favored positions as sovereign lords of the whole world are advocating cosmopolitanism [aka: global governance/globalization -ed] and want the world to join them… Nationalism is that precious possession by which humanity maintains its existence. If nationalism decays, then when cosmopolitanism flourishes we will be unable to survive and will be eliminated”.

In response to this patriotic resistance, a new strategy had to be concocted. This took the form of H.G. Welles’ 1928 The Open Conspiracy: Blueprint for a World Revolution. This little-known book served as a guiding blueprint for the next century of imperial grand strategy calling for a new world religion and social order. According to Wells:

“The old faiths have become unconvincing, unsubstantial and insincere, and though there are clear intimations of a new faith in the world, it still awaits embodiment in formulae and organizations that will bring it into effective reaction upon human affairs as a whole.”

In his book, Welles outlines the need for a new scientific gospel to supersede the Judeo-Christian faiths of the western world. This new gospel consisted of a series of tomes which he and his colleague Julian Huxley composed, entitled: 1) The Outline of History (1920) where Wells re-wrote all of history wishing this analysis to replace the book of Genesis, 2) The Science of Life (1930), co-written with Sir Julian Huxley and 3) The Work, Wealth and Happiness of Mankind (1932).

Part of this immense project to create a new coherent synthetic religion to re-organize humanity involved a re-packaging of a Darwinism that was falling out of favor with many scientists of the 1920’s. They recognized its failure to account for obvious features of nature such as directionality in evolution, spirit, intention, ideas, and design.

This re-packaging took the form of the “New Evolutionary Synthesis” which attempted to save Darwin’s theory and its eugenic corollaries using Jesuit priest Pierre Teilhard de Chardin’s doctrine of the “Omega Man”. De Chardin’s system synthesized the foundation of Darwinian assumptions with an acknowledgment of evolutionary directionality, the possibility of spirit, and the existence of mind as a force of nature. The destructive slight of hand used by Chardin was that all of these “transcendent” features of design — spirit, mind, reason, etc. — were: 1) bound to a finite future point of no change which dominated and guided all apparent change in living space time, and 2) binding the world of mind and spirit to the forces of the material world. The Chardin-Huxley-Wells remix kept Darwin’s laws relevant and kept science compatible with imperial modes of social organization.

Outlining the aims of The Open Conspiracy, Wells writes: “Firstly, the entirely provisional nature of all existing governments, and the entirely provisional nature therefore, of all loyalties associated therewith; Secondly, the supreme importance of population control in human biology and the possibility it affords us of a release from the pressure of the struggle for existence on ourselves; and Thirdly, the urgent necessity of protective resistance against the present traditional drift towards war.”

By 1933, the planned bankers’ dictatorship, meant to solve the four years’ long great depression and organized during the months-long London Conference, was on the verge of being sabotaged by the recently-elected American President Franklin Delano Roosevelt[2]. It was then that Wells published a new manifesto in the form of a fiction book called ‘Shape of Things to Come: The Ultimate Revolution’. This book (soon made into a Hollywood movie directed by Wells disciple Alexander Korda), served as an early tool of mass predictive programming showcasing a world destroyed by decades of global war, pandemic, and chaos — all caused by… sovereign nation states.

The “solution” to these dark ages took the form of a masonic society of social engineers who descended from planes (Wells’ ‘Benevolent Dictatorship of the Air’) to restore order under a world government. Wells had his main character (a social psychologist) state “while the World Council was fighting for and directing and carrying on the unified World State, the Educational Control was remoulding mankind”. The social psychologists managing the World Government were “becoming the whole literature, philosophy and general thought of the world… the reasoning soul in the body of the race.”

The greatest problem to overcome, stated Wells, was “the variability of mental resistance to direction and limits set by nature to the ideal of an acquiescent cooperative world.”

Wells’ hero in the book, Gustave de Windt, was “pre-occupied by his gigantic schemes for world organization, had treated the ‘spirit of opposition’ as purely evil, as a vice to be guarded against, as a trouble in the machinery which was to be minimized as completely as possible.”

Speaking through his “fictional characters” Wells reasoned that society had to be recast afresh according to a scientific priesthood which knew how to make the sorts of “hard” decisions that the dirty masses would never have the wits to make themselves. The theme of world government and collectivization of wealth under one central command were also themes advanced by Wells who wrote in 1940:

“Collectivisation means the handling of the common affairs of mankind by a common control responsible to the whole community. It means the suppression of go-as-you-please in social and economic affairs just as much as in international affairs. It means the frank abolition of profit-seeking and of every device by which human beings contrive to be parasitic on their fellow man. It is the practical realisation of the brotherhood of man through a common control”.

The Fabian Society propaganda organ The New Statesman wrote in 1931: “The legitimate claims of eugenics are not inherently incompatible with the outlook of the collectivist movement. On the contrary, they would be expected to find their most intransigent opponents amongst those who cling to the individualistic views of parenthood and family economics.”

While genuine socialists who truly cared about labor rights in opposition to oligarchical forces generally didn’t get along well with fascists, the peculiar species of Fabian socialists were always united with the fascist cause and always strove to destroy genuine-labor movements in any nation which they were permeating. If only those fascists could be cured of their nationalism wrote Wells, then he would gladly champion the swastika saying in 1932: “I am asking for liberal Fascisti, for enlightened Nazis”.

This was not paradoxical when one realizes that the rise of fascism was never a “nationalist” phenomenon, as popular history books have asserted for decades, but rather was the artificial consequence of a supranational financier-oligarchy from above who wished to use “enforcers” to bend their societies to a higher will.

The World Brain

By the time World War II began, Wells’ ideas had evolved new insidious components that later gave rise to such mechanisms as Wikipedia and Twitter in the form of “The World Brain” (1937) where Wells calls for reducing the English language to a “basic English” of 850 accepted words which would make up a world language. In this book, Wells states that “thinkers of the forward-looking type whose ideas we are now considering, are beginning to realize that the most hopeful line for the development of our racial intelligence lies rather in the direction of creating a new world organ for the collection, indexing, summarizing and release of knowledge, than in any further tinkering with the highly conservative and resistant university system, local, national and traditional in texture, which already exits. These innovators, who may be dreamers today, but who hope to become very active organizers tomorrow, project a unified, if not centralized, world organ to pull the mind of the world together.”

By 1940, Wells wrote the The New World Order which again amplified his message. In writing this, he coordinated his efforts with the many Fabians and Rhodes Scholars who had infiltrated western foreign policy establishments in order to shape the war, but more importantly, the post-war global structure. These were the networks that hated Franklin Roosevelt, Vice-President Henry Wallace, Harry Hopkins and other genuine “New Dealers” who wanted nothing more than to destroy colonialism once and for all in the wake of the war.

Post-War Fascism: Making the Unthinkable Become Thinkable

With Wells’ 1946 death, other Fabians and social engineers continued his work during the Cold War. One of the leading figures here being Wells’ associate, Lord Bertrand Russell, who wrote in his 1952 The Impact of Science on Society:

“I think the subject which will be of most importance politically is mass psychology…. Its importance has been enormously increased by the growth of modern methods of propaganda. Of these the most influential is what is called ‘education’. Religion plays a part, though a diminishing one; the press, the cinema and the radio play an increasing part… it may be hoped that in time anybody will be able to persuade anybody of anything if he can catch the patient young and is provided by the state with money and equipment.”

“The subject will make great strides when it is taken up by scientists under a scientific dictatorship. The social psychologists of the future will have a number of classes of school children on whom they will try different methods of producing an unshakable conviction that snow is black. Various results will soon be arrived at. First that the influence of home is obstructive. Second that not much can be done unless indoctrination begins before the age of ten. Thirdly verses set to music and repeatedly intoned are very effective. Fourth that the opinion that snow is white must be held to show a morbid taste for eccentricity. But I anticipate. It is for future scientists to make these maxims precise and discover exactly how much it costs per head to make children believe that snow is black, and how much less it would cost to make them believe it is dark gray.”

Russell’s dystopic vision was paralleled by his friend Sir Julian Huxley (founder of the United Nations Education, Science and Cultural Organization) in 1946 who said in UNESCO’s founding manifesto:

“The moral for UNESCO is clear. The task laid upon it of promoting peace and security can never be wholly realised through the means assigned to it- education, science and culture. It must envisage some form of world political unity, whether through a single world government or otherwise, as the only certain means of avoiding war… in its educational programme it can stress the ultimate need for a world political unity and familiarize all peoples with the implications of the transfer of full sovereignty from separate nations to a world organization.”

To what end would this “world political unity” be aimed? Several pages later, Huxley’s vision is laid out in all of its twisted detail:

“At the moment, it is probable that the indirect effect of civilization is dysgenic instead of eugenic, and in any case it seems likely that the dead weight of genetic stupidity, physical weakness, mental instability and disease proneness, which already exist in the human species will prove too great a burden for real progress to be achieved. Thus even though it is quite true that any radical eugenic policy will be for many years politically and psychologically impossible, it will be important for UNESCO to see that the eugenic problem is examined with the greatest care and that the public mind is informed of the issues at stake so that much that is now unthinkable may at least become thinkable.”

The Economic Recolonization of the World

While many think the post-war years to have been shaped primarily by a Cold War, the reality is that the Iron Curtin was always merely a cover to impose a complete infiltration and colonization of the minds of citizens across the Trans Atlantic community that had given so much to stop the rise of fascism. The focus was especially placed on the young “baby boomer” generation who would suffer the most intensive full spectrum conditioning of any generation in history. While the population was driven into states of insanity throughout the age of constant nuclear terror, asymmetrical wars abroad, and drug-sex-rock’n’roll counterculture revolutions domestically.

By the time of Bobby Kennedy’s murder, and ouster of de Gaulle, the stage had been set for a new phase of colonialization of western nation states via the floating of the U.S. dollar and the destruction of the gold-reserve system that had served as the bedrock of the post-1945 Bretton Woods system. As long as the exchange rates were fixed then economic warfare against nations via short term speculation (which had always been a tool of the City of London) would not be possible. Additionally, the stability afforded by fixed exchange rates permitted long-term thinking and planning requisite to build large scale infrastructure and other scientific projects that required the sort of patience and foresight that short term market-driven thinking never allowed.

Under this new age of post-1971 deregulation, humanity was further atomized around a new idea of “value” which was driven by the notion that individual desires unbounded by regulation “cause” creative change within supposedly self-regulating forces of the marketplace. The more the formula “greed=good” became embedded within the operating system of western states, the more the broader structures of those states were commandeered by private corporations and banks which increasingly merged and fused into each other during an age of Darwinian “survival of the fittest”. The more that these interconnected supranational entities merged, the more those levers of economic power were ripped away from sovereign nation states and into the hands of private finance beholden to forces antagonistic to humanity. During this process, the once productive sectors of the economy that gave vitality to nations were atrophied and outsourced abroad.

Normal rates of investment into the maintenance and improvement of capital-intensive infrastructure seized up and industrial sectors were shut down and moved to cheap labor sectors abroad which themselves became new zones of modern slave labor filling western consumerism with “cheap goods” from China and cheap resources stolen from the global south.

Where monetary growth had formerly been tied to the growth of industrial production, the post-1971 paradigm tied monetary growth to ever increasing rates of unpayable debt and speculative capital unbounded from the real world.

Two Faces of Evil: WEF and Inter-Alpha Group

During that same fateful year of 1971, two other ominous entities were created.

In January 1971, an entity was set up in Switzerland by a protégé of Henry Kissinger named Klaus Schwab, titled “The World Economic Forum”. One prominent founding member was Maurice Strong, a Rockefeller connected Canadian oligarch that had become a founding father of the modern environmental movement and co-architect of the Club of Rome. One of the initiatives that Strong had helped build in 1970 was the 1001 Nature Trust which was a project devoted to raising capital for the World Wildlife Fund for Nature and the new environmental movement. One of the founders of the WWF? Sir Julian Huxley.

The other ominous entity formed in 1971 was the Rothschild Inter-Alpha Group of banks under the umbrella of the Royal Bank of Scotland. The stated intention of this Group would be found in the 1983 speech by Lord Jacob Rothschild: “two broad types of giant institutions, the worldwide financial service company and the international commercial bank with a global trading competence, may converge to form the ultimate, all-powerful, many-headed financial conglomerate.”

What Lord Rothschild was referring to was the destruction of Glass-Steagall bank separation laws across the Trans Atlantic which had kept commercial banking, investment banking, and insurance activities compartmentalized in separate worlds since WWII. In 1986, this destruction of the dividing walls in banking began with Margaret Thatcher’s Big Bang followed soon thereafter by Canada’s destruction of the Four Pillars. Although it took another 14 years, the final nail was put into the Glass-Steagall coffin when Clinton destroyed the law as one of his last acts in office. After this point, derivative contracts that had only accounted for $2 trillion in 1991, and $80 trillion in 1999 soon ballooned to over $650 trillion when the housing market blew out in the USA in 2007.

With the destruction of the Soviet Union the Rockefeller Disclosure Project was inaugurated in 1992 by Laurence Rockefeller and his niece Anna Bartley (then-president of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund) which worked with Bill Clinton to usher in the first and largest wave of declassified UFO reports in US history in 1993. Laurence had spent the 1980s bankrolling the career and research of psylocibin guru Terence McKenna who also pioneered the popular notion that ancient civilizations interfaced with inter-dimensional aliens with the help of psychedelics. Laurence Rockefeller’s nephew Stephen Rockefeller was simultaneously hard at work overseeing the Earth Charter Project which professed to create a new foundation of international law based upon the rejection of the sovereign nation state system and pre-eminence of Earth’s rights over human rights. Among the other leading authors of this charter were none other than former Soviet Premier Mikhail Gorbachev and Maurice Strong. Speaking of the origins of the Earth Charter Project, Steven Rockefeller (Rockefeller Brothers Fund Trustee and theologian at Middleburgy College) admitted that it was fulfilling the mission set forth in 1948 by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature… created by none other than Sir Julian Huxley.

Not happy with unsatisfying stories, scripts, and narratives that shape our disorganized zeitgeist for the past two thousand years, Maurice Strong’s protege Klaus Schwab and other creepy dungeon masters trying to manage the post-Great Reset Age with ‘New Narratives’ set out to shape our 21st century and beyond. Schwab described the World Economic Forum’s Great Narrative Initiative announced on November 11, 2021 as a “collaborative effort of the world’s leading thinkers to fashion longer-term perspectives and co-create a narrative that can help guide the creation of a more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable vision for our collective future.”

What will those new organizing myths and new values be, which are intended to replace the obsolete age of Christianity, which presumed each human life was sacred and liberty unalienable? Whatever it will be, you can probably guess that it will smell of aliens, holograms, psychedelic drugs, nature worship, and some form of restoration of ancient pagan drug cults that organized the Babylonian, and Roman Empires under a hedonistic Dionysian orgy for plebs waiting for their state-sponsored euthanasia escape from reality.

The Silk Road Connection to Hellenic Civilization

The Silk Road that united Chinese culture with Persian, Arab, Greek, Roman and African cultures would first emerge with the Han Dynasty about a century after Alexander’s death.

Despite the fact that many modern historians attempt to treat the events of Alexander’s west to east expansion and China’s east to west program as two separate events, the connection of both programs is most certainly connected in the study of Universal History. Were it not for Alexander’s Hellenizing efforts, it is unlikely that the Silk Road would have ever arisen.

With Alexander’s untimely assassination within the gates of Babylon, the great potential to create a city of Justice, Love and Goodness, which treated all human beings as divine, reasonable and self-perfectible, the way Plato had put forth in his Republic, or Solon had dreamed of much earlier… fell to pieces.

Just outside of the chaos of the regions formerly known as Alexander’s Empire, the small state of Rome could be seen across from its southern neighbor across the Mediterranean Carthage. Many people know of the term “Carthage delenda est”, ie: “Carthage must be destroyed” as the battle cry of Rome during its destructive battles against its nemesis… but few understand how this war happened, why these former allies became enemies in the first place, or how this helps us to understand the origins of the Roman Empire.

Rome’s Moral Downfall: The Carthaginian Wars

What is often overlooked by experts of the Carthaginian Wars is that these two neighbors had much in common for centuries.

In fact, they were established around the same period in 800 BC. During most of their existence, Carthage and Rome maintained a strong alliance which had been renewed in the form of four formal treaties spread out across the years 509 BC to 279 BC.

It was an important division of labor and talent.

Rome was known as a great land-power, with an extremely competent and disciplined standing army. Through its military power and reputation, Rome had built an important array of strategic alliances over the centuries since they were so often forced to defend themselves from invading forces from the north attacking from the Alps.

Due to Rome’s lack of a strong maritime capability, they also lacked a strong commercial center or robust trade policy.

Carthage, on the other hand, had a very strong focus on commerce, and trade sharing much from their Phoenician forebears. But they did not have a very strong army, and as such were forced to often use mercenaries, or call upon their Roman allies to defend themselves during enemy invasions.

Overall, there was a win-win synergy between Rome and Carthage that worked quite well for centuries, and which allowed them to avoid being conquered.

But during the early 3^rd century BC, something changes, and the alliances begins to crumble. It is uncertain what invisible forces had been working behind the scenes to sever the alliance, but in the year 264 BC, the first Punic War is launched by Rome. Several Carthaginian territories were invaded, and the first of three bloody wars began. When the war ended in 241 BC, Rome had come out victorious and took control of Carthage’s former territory of Sicily.

Carthage also had to start paying large annual tributes to Rome, resulting in growing resentment and a sense of betrayal.

You must now put yourself in the position of the high priesthood of the mystery cults floating above the stage of this theater of universal history.

The powerful Babylonian high priesthood of Marduk had still suffered the sting of their Persian ‘Marcher Lord’ defeated and their Macedonian eastern empire plans crumble due to Alexander’s Platonic conspirators.

But this priesthood had learned a valuable lesson. The Cult needed a new seat of power to accomplish what the Achaemenid Empire had failed to achieve. With Alexander’s former empire divided into warring factions, the viability of using any of Alexander’s former generals to become the new ‘marcher lord’ was likely deemed unwise. And so, the Marduk priesthood would have been looking further westward toward the region of Rome and Carthage.

I suspect this factor, despite being neglected by academia, is likely a driving force orchestrating the Punic Wars from behind the scenes.

The question posed by those heirs of Babylon was: Will this new seat of power be Carthage or Rome?

Who was going to host the parasite and become the new marcher lord?

There were two more Punic Wars which resolved this question.

In the second Punic War which occurred from 218 to 201 BC (also instigated by Rome), Carthage did quite well under the leadership of the brilliant general Hannibal. But with Hannibal’s defeat at the Battle of Zama in 201 BC, the tides of fortune turned against Carthage and the nation was beaten again.

During this time, Rome was still technically still a republic, but like the similar case of Athens during the Peloponnesian War of 434- 404 BC, Rome had also embraced a new moral descent into an expansionist empire betraying its allies, its former values and demanding total obedience to those new territories it brutally conquered.

Despite its slide into empire, Roman citizens during the early to mid republic still had a strong sense of morality, duty, and honor which was not easy to destroy. Although there was a belief in various gods imported from Greece^[1], the dominant culture of Rome was still ethics-driven and featured a spiritual life more premised on deification of heroes. The Romans, not unlike the Confucians, believed in treating war heroes like the great Roman general-turned farmer- turned Dictator-turned farmer Cincinnatus in religious-like reverence which had a much greater influence over the minds of Romans than any of the pagan gods.

After the Second Punic War, one of the new insidious foreign cults that came into Rome was the cult of Cybele which spearheaded the overthrow of Rome’s ethical order. This earth-mother cult had various names within various parts of the ancient world, such as Inanna to the Babylonians, to the Greeks she was Demeter, to the Minoans she was Rhea but she was most popularly known as the cult of Gaia.

The Cult of Cybele’s entry into Rome was entirely tied to the Second Punic War.

Mystery Migrate to Rome

Within Rome, a powerful institution existed in the form of the Committee of 15. This elite committee of priests was sanctioned to interpret the Sibylline Oracles which had been brought into Rome under King Lucius Tarquinius Superbus who ruled as king of Rome from 534-509 BC and remained a dominant subversive institution throughout the entire lifespan of Rome.

Very few important decisions were made without consulting with the Committee of 15 who would in turn, interpret the transcribed allegorical streams of consciousness that was the Sibylline Oracles… these oracles were composed in three large tomes which contained the allegorical sayings of the Pythian Oracle of Apollo at Delphi in Greece, and were sold to Tarquin by the Cumaean Sibyl before his downfall.

During the second Punic War, the Roman Senate asked the Committee of 15 how they might defeat Carthage. After consulting the Sibylline Oracles, the committee stated: “Rome would be victorious over Carthage IF an official invitation were extended to the Cult of Cybele to become an officially sanctioned Roman cult”. Cybele’s cult was then firmly entrenched its stronghold in Anatolia and the Mithraic Kingdom of Pontus.

In 204 BC, the Roman Senate agreed and invited the Cult into the capital which immediately builds temples across Rome- including on Palatine Hill which housed the infamous Sibylline books. Whether it was due to the “favor of Cybele” or darker political intrigue, by 201 BC, Carthage was defeated, and Rome expanded ever further into former Carthaginian territory, enslaving many of their citizens, and increasing Carthage’s tribute.

However, unbeknownst to the Roman population, the Cult of Cybele proved to be a much more corrupting influence as its rites included widespread orgies, ecstatic drug-induced frenzies, and an initiatory system that required all male priests (dubbed ‘Galli’) to be castrated [see image on next page], dress as women and speak with a falsetto voice.

The Stoic Roman values of the day which prized masculinity, temperance, and family were deeply offended as thousands of young men became fanatical Galli eunuchs, and at least for a century, public backlash resulted in the Cybele cult going underground. It would only re-emerge into the open through Government protection under the Empire.

By the Third Punic War (149-146 BC), Rome had fully embraced its new imperial identity. Despite Carthage’s offer to surrender to the Romans, the edict ‘Carthage Delenda Est’ called forth by Senator Cato the Elder won the day. Carthage’s requests for peace were ignored, and the last remnants of the state was destroyed, its male population massacred, and its women and children taken into slavery.

Through it all, the mystery cults continued to rise in influence. The cult of Isis begins to spread in Rome in the mid second century BC under a Romanized branding dubbed ‘Isis-Serapis’ practicing sexual rites, and various forms of sacrifice.

The Isis cult’s importation into Rome was also steered by the Sibylline Oracles and began in 201 BC with the figure of Osiris (Isis’ male counterpart) being replaced by the figure of Serapis- a Romanesque lord of the dead).

Mithra: Sol Invictus

By 64 BC, the Roman General Pompey introduced the Cult of Mithra covertly into Rome. This Cult originated in Persia, and for a period dominated the Kingdom of Pontus, in Northern Turkey alongside its female-dominated sister cult Cybele whose temples were often featured next to Mithraeum [underground crypts that served as temples to Mithra]. The Kingdom of Pontus existed from 268-63 BC and was led by a dynasty of Kings each named Mithradates I-VI.

The Cult of Mithra was a seven-degree initiatory male-only cult, which catered to a warrior class, and worshipped in underground grottos called ‘Mithraeum’ of which over 500 have been discovered across Europe, North Africa, England and the Middle East in modern times.

Soon after the Roman Civil Wars, which ended in 33 BC, the Cult of Mithra became the leading cult of the Roman Legion, elite Praetorian Guard, and a dozen Roman emperors including Marcus Aurelius, Diocletian, Constantine, Commodus, Valerian, Galerius, Licinius, and Julian the Apostate.

General Pompey had likely first encountered the Cult of Mithra during his battle against Mithradates VI Eupator- the ruler of Pontus during the Mithridatic Wars which were waged from 88 BC to 63 BC. The Mithridatic dynasty was itself established by the bloodline of the Emperor Darius (of the Persian Achaemenid Empire) and acted as the last bastion of direct Achaemenid influence after the Empire’s downfall whose state religion was Mithra worship with each hereditary king adopting the name “Mithradates” and elevated to God status as Sol Invictus in the flesh.

King Mithradates VI waged numerous attacks on Rome until his death in 63 BC, during which time, General Pompey (a rival to Julius Caesar) had led battles against the determined Mithraic King Mithradates VI and it is likely that his failure to conquer Rome had something to do with an agreement reached out between General Pompey and the high priests of Mithra who saw in Rome a more attractive host with much more room for growth than the small Kingdom of Pontus.

Rome continued to expand carrying its new cults as a new Marcher Lord from 63 BC onward, and by 117 AD, the Roman Empire reaches its apex of size and power.

The Rise of Pax Romana

Between the death of Mithradates VI and the high point of Roman expansionism, a number of very important things happened.

We had Cicero’s many battles to revive the better spirit of Rome and restore the healthier traditions of the republic^[2].

But just like Socrates earlier, Cicero who defined himself not as an Epicurean or Stoic but as a Platonist, was assassinated by Mark Antony in 43 BC who demanded the great orator’s head to be cut off.

Just like Socrates, Cicero also had a chance to escape Rome and keep his life, but following the teachings of his beloved Plato^[3], Cicero decided that it would be better for posterity and better for the health of his soul to remain in the land that he had fought so hard to defend his entire life.

Sadly, unlike Socrates, Cicero had not trained a Plato to continue his work. He had not built an Academy and no one was left on the stage of history to pick up his torch after he died.

After a protracted series of Civil Wars, Octavius Augustus, the nephew of Julius Caesar, emerged victorious having successfully defeated Mark Antony and Cleopatra in 32 BC. Octavius Augustus wasted no time in declaring himself Emperor establishing a new form of God-man (Pontifex Maximus) which would lead the Roman Empire into a promised new ‘Golden Age’. Whatever residues of the old Roman Republic that existed in 32 BC were largely purged by this time.

The late philosopher Lyndon LaRouche took note of a particular meeting between priests from the mystery cults and emperor Octavian Augustus held on the Isle of Capri, which was a central command for the Cult of Mithra:

“The first century B.C. was a time of great troubles throughout the Mediterranean littoral. The priesthoods of the various forms of Great-Mother worship, the Syrian-Canaanite Magi, the Ptolemaic cult of Isis, and of the cult of Apollo, were engaged in the effort to combine the conquests of Rome, Egypt, and Syria into a single world-empire. The bloody issue was, what would be chosen as the capital of this new empire? The leading contenders were Alexandria and the city of Rome. The decision was settled on the battlefield against Mark Antony and Cleopatra; Rome’s victory had been negotiated earlier, at a meeting on the Isle of Capri.”^[4]

The following essay is the first part of a series published in the latest RTF Spring Anthology exploring the forgotten battles to restore Natural Law in the midst of the Roman empire’s breakdown.

While this essay begins and ends with the figure of the great Augustine, Bishop of Hippo who lived during the darkest days of the Roman Empire, my true intention is to paint a picture of the dramatic stage of history as Augustine himself understood it and which he used to craft his own identity as an agent of positive change in an otherwise tragic world. If you notice identical patterns to those shaping our current crisis-ridden world, then I will consider this work a success.

Augustine’s World

When the Visigoths carried out their first invasion of Rome in 410 AD pillaging the once great civilization, the idea of “the eternal empire” crumbled fast, as Rome had already split up into an eastern and a western block just a few years earlier.

St Augustine was born in 354 AD in the former Carthaginian territory of Hippo in North Africa (today’s Algeria), and in his early twenties, had become a teacher of rhetoric and a leading disciple of the recently created cult of Manicheanism.

Since most of his students were young people from the aristocratic class often devoid of any moral foundation who simply wanted to learn the art of persuasion (aka: rhetoric) in order to pursue careers in politics, and law Augustine found himself suffering pangs of conscience but had little means of resolving his inner tension.

Despite authoring dozens of incredible works, one of his most famous writings is named ‘The Confessions’, which he wrote in 398 AD outlining how he had worked through and resolved his spiritual gordian knots and internal contradictions causing him anguishing turmoil during his early years.

Extolling a former student towards a philosophical life devoted to the pursuit of wisdom instead of the life of material success which Augustine had also been formerly devoted, he wrote:

“Wake up! Wake up, I beg you! Believe me, you’ll be grateful that the gifts of this world have hardly entranced you at all with the successes by which they ensnare the unwary. They tried to catch me while I was daily singing their praises, until the pain in my chest compelled me to cast aside my puffed-up profession and to flee to the bosom of philosophy. Now philosophy nourishes and sustains me in that retirement we have so much hoped for. It has freed me completely from the superstition into which I had thrown you headlong with myself. Philosophy teaches, and teaches truly, that nothing whatsoever that is discerned by mortal eyes, or that any of the senses comes into contact with, should be worshipped.

Philosophy promises that it will display the true and hidden God and now and again designs to show us a glimpse of Him through the bright clouds, as it were”.^[1]

In his Confessions, Augustine documents his spiritual journey leading up to his decision to abandon his pagan/Manichean worldview becoming a Christian at 30 years of age. Upon being baptised in 385 AD, and growing in influence within the church, he decided to intervene into his collapsing society in a big way.

Life During the End of an Empire

There had been certain edicts that had been passed in 380 AD that made Christianity the official religion of the Roman empire, but because Rome’s collapse was accelerating, supply chains were breaking down, and the social fabric was being torn apart, people were looking for an easy scapegoat to cast blame upon… the new Christian movement became that scapegoat.

Throughout his works which spanned four decades, Augustine strived to set the record straight about what really caused Rome’s slow collapse (which began LONG before Jesus was even born). In carrying out this task, he not only protected Christianity from its enemies within and without, but completely revolutionized the theology of Christianity in theory and practice.

In the age that Augustine lived, the high priesthood of the mystery cults that oversaw the collapse of Greece after Plato’s death, and which oversaw the transformation of Rome from a republic into an empire after the murder of Cicero in 43 BC were clearly desirous of coopting Christianity for their own imperial ends. And these same high priests simultaneously worked to spread gnostic pseudo-Christian cults in order to undermine the faith from within.

Augustine would have none of it, and resolved to launch a new Renaissance movement, which encapsulated the best of what he learned from Plato and Cicero, while adding the teachings of the New Testament in a fresh synthesis that had never been seen before.

Make no mistake, Augustine was no mere Church bishop or theologian. He was a renaissance thinker of the highest order who authored groundbreaking works on music theory (De Musica), educational reform (On a Christian education), politics (City of God), philosophy and religious reform.

The Evolution of Rome and the Rise of Alexander the Great

Before we can properly appreciate Augustine’s battle, let us take a moment to appreciate how that stage was set which shaped his world and which he, in turn so profoundly shaped.

Since Augustine lived through the final days of the Roman Empire, let us ask the question: What was Rome? How did it arise as an empire in the first place, and what led to its collapse?

Before Rome become the dominant hegemon of the ancient world, Persia’s Achaemenid Empire represented that role. This empire stretched between 550 and 332 BC.

At its peak, the Persian Empire stretched all the way from India, Central Asia, Turkey, Egypt and Greece. It conquered Egypt, and stretched all the way through Macedonia, where a certain character named King Philip II of Macedon ruled from 359-336 BC. Philip II had played a double handed role during his reign. On the one hand he fought Persia in several battles giving off the impression that he was a committed enemy and friend of the beleaguered Greeks who sought his help from the invading eastern force. However, according to letters between Persia’s envoys on Rhodes and King Philip II, it is revealed that the king was also engaged secretly with the high priesthood in planning a “western” empire that would split away from Persia but always using “the Persian model”.

Philosopher Lyndon LaRouche writes that this new arrangement was ‘subject to the condition that he order the internal affairs of that “Division” according to what the letters describe variously as “the Persian model” and “the oligarchical model.” Aristotle’s Nicomachean Ethics and Politics are the most detailed specifications of oligarchical principles of this species. Inside classical Greece, the oligarchical models included Lycurgan Sparta, Cadmian Thebes, and the temples of the cult of Apollo (Horus, Lucifer, et al.) at Delphi and Delos.’

Much more will be said of the mystery cults referenced by LaRouche later in this text.

As Cynthia Chung elaborated in ‘Plato’s Fight Against Apollo’s Temple of Delphi and the Cult of Democracy’, several of Plato’s leading students would play an influential role in organizing the mind of the son of Philip of Macedon whose name was Alexander who came to power soon after Philip was assassinated in 336 BC.

Now, we have all been told the story that Alexander was the student of Aristotle, and that Aristotle was the student of Plato… yet this too is a stubborn lie which has held onto the narrative of Alexander the Great since the day he died. The fact is that Aristotle was actually no friend of either Plato or Alexander and actually sought to infiltrate Plato’s academy in order to weaken it from within when Plato was an old man. Upon Plato’s death, Aristotle failed to wrestle control of the academy away from Plato’s devoted student and nephew Speusippus who recognized how Aristotle had insidiously deformed the great teacher’s philosophy.

Aristotle was forced to leave Athens and returned to his homeland in the kingdom of Macedon at the invitation of Philip II who explicitly wanted Aristotle to tutor his son in the arts of managing an empire while advising Philip II directly.

When Aristotle’s manipulations were again identified by Platonists surrounding Alexander, he was once more forced to abandon his dream of controlling a new western empire and now set up his own academy dubbed ‘The Lyceum’ in 335 BC. At the Lyceum, Aristotle could teach his own peculiar brand of memory-driven (instead of discovery-driven) philosophy.

It cannot be overstated that Aristotle actually developed a method of thinking that was in total opposition to every single moral and principled dimension to the comprehensive philosophy and discovery-oriented method developed by Plato.

When Alexander realized how Aristotle had been manipulating the young leader, he promptly fired his tutor and proceeded to embark on a vast city building enterprise soon replacing the entire Persian Empire with something never before seen.

During this time Alexander even discovered a plot to assassinate him led by Callisthenes, Aristotle’s nephew and Alexander the Great’s official historian whom he had executed in 327 BC. Alexander’s advisors always suspected his former tutor to have coordinated the plot from afar.

The mentor who had a much stronger role in Alexander’s worldview and his strategic thinking to break the Persian Empire was a figure named Delius of Ephesus. Delius was a student of Plato’s Academy, and a leading figure at the time who had recently founded his own school that was continuing Plato’s program.

Delius of Ephesus also ensured that young Alexander had access to the works of Plato’s great ally Xenophon, who had authored a semi-fictional biography of Cyrus the Great designed to inspire future philosopher kings to virtue and a love of wisdom.

As Cynthia elegantly demonstrated, this is a book which Alexander took with him on all his travels and sought to emulate Xenophon’s Cyprus as a great role model of a city builder.

Alexander did not wish to be a tyrant who would simply expand, plunder and loot colonies, or who would try to create an empire for extraction and slavery. He saw himself as a real civilization builder who would spread the best of Hellenic Greek civilization all the way into Asia. Under the guidance of Plato’s true heirs, Alexander replaced his father (whose assassination remains a mystery to this day) to become king of Macedon at the age of 20. With this new found influence, he lost no time defeating the Persian Empire and establishing a great, albeit short-lived empire which lasted until his death in 323 BC at the age of 32 [see image below].

And we see, evidence of this incredible Hellenic artistic tradition can even be found in such places as the Kingdom of Bactria, and the recently discovered Kingdom of Gandhāra, which existed across today’s borders of Afghanistan, Pakistan and India. This incredible kingdom established under Alexander endured for over three centuries (until it was extinguished in 10 AD).

Located in today’s Pakistan and Afghanistan, Gandhāra was a political, cultural capital of Asia starting in the 1st century BC.

The Mauryan Empire that united India and launched a golden age under Chandragupta Maurya (the founder of the Kingdom and ally of Alexander the Great) unleashed a vast renaissance which peaked during the 40-year reign of Chandragupta’s grandson Ashoka (reign from 268-232 BC).

In the Greco-Buddhist kingdom of Gandhāra, archeologists have found architecture and sculptures that utilize the golden ratio, and we find wonderful life-like sculptures which portrayed the Buddha for the very first time. And again, we find very Hellenistic artistic techniques. Alexander also had a program where he would encourage education and the preservation of local cultural heritage, writings and language groups.

Alexander ensured that the local governors of territories he conquered would continue to have influence within his new system. In every region which he conquered Alexander sought to build trust and loyalty with his new subjects and built vast public works, infrastructure, temples and schools across his kingdom.

It was extremely impressive, but it was sadly also very short-lived as the new empire only endured from 334 to 323 BC. What ended it was the untimely death of Alexander who had made the tactical mistake of dining in Babylon. While it was never proven that Alexander was poisoned, his mother Olympia and leading Field Marshall Antigonus both accused Aristotle of colluding with his student Cassander who they claim administered the drug during Alexander’s banquet in Babylon.

In the 2^nd century AD, the Greek historian and military strategist Arrian wrote a thorough biography of Alexander the Great where he speculated about the murderers of Alexander writing:

“I am aware that much else has been written about Alexander’s death: for instance, that Antipater sent him some medicine which had been tampered with and that he took it, with fatal results. Aristotle is supposed to have made up this drug, because he was already afraid of Alexander on account of Callisthenes’ death, and Antipater’s son Cassander is said to have brought it. Some accounts declare that he brought it in a mule’s hoof, and that it was given Alexander by Cassander’s younger brother Iolas, who was his cup-bearer and had been hurt by him in some way shortly before his death.”

Whether or not Aristotle directed the murder of his former student, upon his death, Alexander’s empire fell into immediate division.

The unifying force of Alexander’s leadership completely broke down as various smaller-minded generals took control over regions of the empire. General Ptolemy had created a dynasty as leader of the Egyptian territories. General Seleucid created a dynasty in the central and southwest Asian territories. You had Antigonus, and Cassander and other generals who took control over their territories and established their own little mini dynasties which quickly devolved into battles between each other.

This decaying period of warlords was not dissimilar to the ‘Warring States Period’ in China which was also occurring during this period.

With the loss of leadership, and rise of myopic infighting and chaos, many of those mystery cults which lost power under Alexander’s reign rose in influence once more. Some of those cults included the Shakti and Ishtar sects of the east which quickly moved across the west taking on different appearances depending on the tastes of the target populations. Under the Ptolemies, we saw the rise of the Isis cult’s power, now reestablishing itself in Alexandria.

The Persian solar cult of Mithra (Sol Invictus) which paralleled the solar gods Marduk of Babylon and Apollo of Greece, began to move into Anatolia along with the Magna Mater cult of Cybele-Attis. The rot seeped into the host ever more quickly with each passing year.

As the western former empire of Alexander continued slowly into chaos, the Chinese were finding their own “Alexander the Great” moment with the Han Dynasty which arose into power in 200 BC giving rise to a brilliant Confucian renaissance, peace, internal improvements and a unification of China into one kingdom for the first time in centuries. Unlike the case of Alexander, the Chinese unification endured for centuries.

The Silk Road Connection

The Silk Road that united Chinese culture with Persian, Arab, Greek, Roman and African cultures would first emerge with the Han Dynasty about a century after Alexander’s death.

Despite the fact that many modern historians attempt to treat the events of Alexander’s west to east expansion and China’s east to west program as two separate events, the connection of both programs is most certainly connected in the study of Universal History. Were it not for Alexander’s Hellenizing efforts, it is unlikely that the Silk Road would have ever arisen.

With Alexander’s death, the great potential to create a city of Justice, Love and Goodness, which treated all human beings as divine, reasonable and self-perfectible, the way Plato had put forth in his Republic, or Solon had dreamed of much earlier… fell to pieces.

Just outside of the chaos of the regions formerly known as Alexander’s Empire, the small state of Rome could be seen across from its southern neighbor across the Mediterranean Carthage. Many people know of the term “Carthage delenda est”, ie: “Carthage must be destroyed” as the battle cry of Rome during its destructive battles against its nemesis… but few understand how this war happened, why these former allies became enemies in the first place, or how this helps us to understand the origins of the Roman Empire.

In my recent film ‘The Hidden Hand Behind UFOs episode 2: H.G. Wells’ War Of The Worlds and the Dawn of a New Age’ the foundations for a new world order was established by leading scientific managers of the decaying 19^th century British Empire.

These leading social engineers recognized that in order to save their collapsing system of world empire, it was necessary to sabotage the emergence of cooperative independent nation states then springing to life across the globe.

To do this, a new more sophisticated science of control needed to be created in short order.

As Thomas Huxley’s X Club was created to establish a control over the realm of science, extending laws of the jungle and survival of the fittest over the weakest into the human domain… Huxley’s protégé Herbert George Wells went to work pioneering a new genre of entertainment dubbed -- ‘science fiction’.

In this powerful new realm of warfare that acted upon the imagination of a vast target audience, ideas pertaining to the nature of reality, technology and most importantly, the future could be infused into the collective imagination.

This misuse of ‘science fiction’ as a tool of mass manipulation, and cultural warfare would shape a new set of modern myths about humanity’s origins and destiny.

Throughout Wells’ many fictional stories, evolutionarily superior alien races acting like new immortal gods threatening humanity would be a recurring theme. The idea of uniting humanity under a world government out of fear of alien forces has played out across countless films, books and television shows during the 20^th century, but it’s origins are found in the mind of HG Wells.

Meanwhile Wells’ concepts of technology and government would also provide a blueprint for the creation of the atomic bomb, the Manhattan Project and even post world war efforts at a world government under a renewed British Empire trumpeted as “a League of Nations.”

Disciples of Wells not only oversaw this new age of secret science projects, but additionally advanced Wells’ vision for a new science of control outlined in non fiction books such as: The Open Conspiracy (1928), The New World Order (1940) and ‘The World Brain’ (1938).

The practical application of these ideas took in the form of the science of Cybernetics developed during World War II and became the instrument of control by a small managerial elite in positions of bureaucratic influence across western governments in the post war age.

It is here that our story will resume.

A New Age Emerges with the Cold War

1947 was a strange year.

The Cold War had just begun- the USUK Signals Agreement was launched establishing the Anglo-American Special Relationship, and a new intelligence agency named the CIA was created after a vast purge of patriots from US intelligence.

Additionally, hundreds of civilians and air force personnel began noticing something out of the ordinary in the skies above.

On June 24, 1947, American businessman Kenneth Arnold testified that he had witnessed 9 unidentified flying objects in the skies of Washington – setting off a flurry of similar accounts which were reported to press agencies across England and the USA.

By the end of the year, nearly 750 sightings of unidentified flying objects had occurred.

The question was: WHY were these objects appearing NOW?

And of all the nations on earth, why were they specifically appearing near military bases in the USA and England alone??

Were they new human made weapons?

Was it Russian aircraft preparing to attack the west?

Was it something else?

It didn’t take long for government officials to launch inquiries into these sightings in the form of Project Sign in 1947 and Project Grudge in 1948.

Rather than address the nature of these sightings responsibly, the architects of both projects took a strange position which only served to enflame suspicion of extra terrestrial coverup among the broad base of the population as well as figures within the US military itself.

These early government UFO commissions adopted the following modus operandi:

First, attempt to explain away all sightings “scientifically” by saying that they were simply weather balloons, meteorites, swamp gas or refracted light…

When those explanations should fail, simply deny that any sightings had been made, while threatening government officials from speaking publicly of what they had seen with jail time, court martial or drastic fines.

The protocols of Projects Sign and Grudge were amplified by the much larger British government inquiry dubbed the 1950 Flying Saucer Working Group overseen by Sir Henry Tizard, following the orders of Lord Louis Mountbatten.

Lord Mountbattan was among the most powerful administrators of the British Empire, having been Supreme Allied Commander of South East Asia during World War 2, first sea Lord of the British Navy, and Governor General and Vice-Roy of India where he undermined the dream of Indian independence by carving up the nation into warring factions. Lord Mountbatten’s devotion to the cause of world empire and the replacement of sovereign nation states with a centralized world government under British Control reflected the same cause outlined by HG Wells.

From 1952 to 1961, Mountbatten advanced this agenda as NATO Commander of the Allied Forces of the Mediterranean and Chairman of NATO’s Military Committee where he directly oversaw the growth of dozens of coups and assassinations of nationalist leaders resistant to the New World Order.

It is with these facts in mind that it becomes interesting to note that Lord Mountbatten was among the earliest and highest profile promoters of UFOs having advanced the story that a flying saucer had landed on his property in Romsey, Hampshire in 1955.

Long before it was popular to speak publicly about ETs, Mountbattan mused about the arrival of aliens to earth saying:

“If they really come over in a big way, that might settle the capitalist-communist war. If the human race wishes to survive, they must band together.”

Mountbattan’s words were an echo of British Foreign Secretary Anthony Eden’s March 1947 statement:

“Sometimes I think the people of this distracted planet will never really get together until they find someone in [sic] Mars to get mad against.”

As we will come to see, the idea of uniting humanity around a common threat driven by aliens from another world, as well as the nuclear bomb developed by Wells’ followers- was a recuring theme throughout the Cold War.

Tizard’s UFO Working Group

Wielding the authority of the British Empire, Mountbatten deployed Sir Henry Tizard, chief scientist for the UK’s Ministry of Defense, and overseer of the Manhattan Project in the USA- to create the UK Flying Saucer Working Party in 1950.

The UFO working Party had five members, representing the elite Technical Intelligence branches of the Air Ministry, Admiralty, War Office and Ministry of Defence and ran for 8 months investigating hundreds of sightings. The effect of the committee’s inquiry and classified report to Prime Minster Winston Churchill transformed the culture of the military and created a climate of UFO intrigue throughout all branches of the US and British Militaries alike.

Tizard’s UFO Working Party interfaced closely with the CIA and directly inspired Project Bluebook in America which ran continuously from 1952 until 1969.

Across all of these government inquiries into UFOs, in no circumstances was any attention given to the possibility that human-made flying saucers were responsible for the sightings.

For IF this admission had been permitted by any of those Anglo-American commissions, then an uncomfortable fact would certainly have come to light: Namely that the same secret science program that generated the atomic bomb had not only continued in secret after the war’s end, but grew in scope and scale.

Now you might be asking: “what possible human origins for flying saucers could have been covered up during these early cold war years?”

Let’s explore that.

Germany’s Flying Saucer Program

Despite the fact that much information has been suppressed to this day, it is known that as early as 1937 German aerospace engineers working under the Nazi’s Peenemünde Army Research Center had developed a large department to explore new designs for aerial vehicles that would overcome certain limitations in conventional aviation and rocketry.

What came to be known as “flying discs” satisfied several engineering challenges by creating designs that would be very difficult to capture on radar, while also overcoming the drag caused by the motion of air sheets moving across the wings of planes.

In 1936, Professor Ludwig Prandtl at the Aerodynamic Research Facility of Gottingen proposed the first solution to a problem known as the ‘The Bounded Layer Effect’ which had been preventing the development of supersonic flight. Prandtl did this by introducing circular wings which provided a partial solution… but didn’t resolve the problem.

In 1939 Professor Prandtl’s designs were picked up by Dr Alexander Lippisch who designed a new form of suction technology which absorbed external air into the operation of the aircraft which also involved Prandtl’s circular wings.

This design was dubbed ‘J1253’ and was tested at the Gottingen wind tunnel in 1941.

Rocket scientists Rudolf Schriver and Otto Habermohl officially called these designs the ‘Flugschreibe’ or flying discs.

Soon, breakthroughs were made as Dr. Heinrich Miethe and the brilliant Italian engineer Guiseppe Bellonzo- both experts in fluid dynamics began designing rotating circular aircraft that would allow for high degrees of maneuverability, speed, and the utilization of hypergolic fuels developed by Germany during the war- these were fuels made up of liquid, powder, dust or gas substance that combust upon combination.

These early German flying saucer designs may have even provided the solution for overcoming the sound barrier without the typical sonic booms caused by conventional aircraft.

One prominent member of the Peneemunde team was the Austrian scientist Victor Schauberger.

Viktor Schauberger whose innovative designs for implosion, flying technology utilizing water currents, and electromagnetism to generate flying machines played an important role within Peenemunde,

Soon, Schauberger found himself, like so many other German scientists, absorbed into America’s secret post war science program- through such operations as Project Paperclip.

By 1952, Schauberger had found himself involved with Canada’s Avro Arrow program which sought his designs for supersonic nuclear missile delivery aircraft.

As the story goes, when he discovered that his work would only be used for military purposes, Victor Schauberger, pushed back and, over the course of several months, his patents were essentially stolen, and he returned to Austria, only to die five days later.

Shauberger’s grandson described the injustice that beset the great scientist saying:

“In the end, my grandfather signed a contract in which he transferred the rights to all his ideas, all his patents and thoughts, to an American consortium just so that he could fly back home again. And as you know five days later, after he was back home, he died.”

After many of Peenemunde’s scientists were absorbed into the Anglo-American secret science apparatus after WW2, their designs disappeared and cutting-edge innovations fell under a veil of secrecy…

Despite the secrecy, important evidence into the continuation of flying saucer designs after 1945 can be gleaned by such declassified programs as the ‘American Silver Bug Project’ and Avro Arrow’s Project 1794

The Battlefield of the Mind

The fact was that those advanced technologies acquired as the spoils of war needed to be tested…

And testing meant that both civilians living near air bases and even many unvetted military officials would foreseeably notice strange flying craft in the skies.

So if preventing sightings was impossible, then of course the next best question was: HOW to control the narrative explaining WHAT those witnesses would be seeing?

How could a story be spun that both satisfied the visual evidence of these unexplained aircraft while also incubating the seeds for a new set of sacred stories that could shape humanity’s deepest beliefs about existence in the coming post-national age of world government?

A clue to this answer could be gleaned by the words from CIA director Walter Beddell-Smith, who wrote to the director of the new Psychology Strategy Board of the CIA in 1952 saying:

“I am today transmitting to the National Security Council a proposal in which it is concluded that the problems associated with unidentified flying objects appear to have implications for psychological warfare as well as for intelligence and operations. I suggest that we discuss at an early board meeting the possible offensive and defensive utilization of these phenomena for psychological warfare purposes.”

Beddell-Smith’s words were echoed by the leaders of a new CIA-run UFO investigation commission dubbed ‘The Robertson Panel’ overseen by a Manhattan Project quantum physicist named Howard P. Robertson.

After WW2, Robertson had become a classified CIA employee in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, and scientific advisor to NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander of Europe, where we would have worked in close proximity to none other than Lord Louis Mountbatten.

Following the lead from Sir Tizard’s UFO working Group, the Robertson Panel officially recommended that the Air Force begin to train all personnel to report on UFO sightings.

It also recommended that civilian UFO groups be monitored ‘Because of their potentially great influence on mass thinking if widespread sightings should occur. Their apparent irresponsibility and the possible use of such groups for subversive purposes should be kept in mind’.

Here one wonders if the later role of former CIA Director Roscoe Hillenkoeter’s role as director of the largest Cold War Civilian UFO group - National Investigations Committee On Aerial Phenomena had more to do with CIA manipulation of the public and less to do with Hillenkoeter’s devotion to UFO disclosure.

In the Robertson Panel’s final report it was noted that a discovery of extra-terrestrial artifacts “would be of immediate and great concern to not only the U.S.A. but all countries… Nothing like a common threat to unite peoples!”

(Again the theme laid out by HG Wells, Lord Mountbatten, and Sir Tizard of humanity united around the fear of alien invaders raises its ugly head once more.)

The Art of Misdirection in the Cold War

It was increasingly clear that the minds of the population had become the dominant battlefield where the Cold War would now be waged.

This was a full spectrum war that involved the promotion of drastically conflicting narratives by western intelligence agencies in order to create an atmosphere of confusion, doubt, and speculation.

Within such an atmosphere of chaos, a gullible and fear-driven new consumerist population would easily be distracted from the reality of the shadow government taking over their nations.

While Project Grudge, Project Sign and Project Bluebook officially denied the existence of alien encounters, even threatening a $10,000 fine on military personnel reporting their sightings to the press… another simultaneous policy promoting ET narratives to the public began to occur.

In an April 1952 edition of Henry Luce’s Life Magazine titled ‘Have We Visitors from Space’? an official message from the highest offices of the US Air Force was delivered to a credulous American audience saying:

“Disks, cylinders and similar objects of geometrical form, luminous quality and solid nature for several years have been, and may be now, actually present in the atmosphere of the earth.

These objects cannot be explained by present science as natural phenomena — but solely as artificial devices, created and operated by a high intelligence.

And Finally, no power plant known or projected on earth could account for the performance of these devices.”

One must wonder how the Air Force’s policy of publicizing “artificial devices, operated by a high intelligence… not made from this earth” could be publicly promoted on the one hand… while the same Air Force frantically supressed all discussion of UFOs on the other hand?

Could it be that these apparently contradictory narratives were simply two sides of one psychological warfare experiment carried out on the minds of Americans?

Henry Luce and America’s Imperial Transformation

It is here that the role of media mogul Henry Luce, owner of Time, Life and Fortune Magazines becomes extremely interesting.

Henry Luce was not merely a self-professed fascist and sponsor of American fascism prior to the war placing Benito Mussolini on his magazine covers extensively from 1923 until the fascist leader’s death, but Luce was also closely allied to the Rockefeller Foundation.

Working alongside the Rockefellers, and using his own media outlets, Luce advanced a new imperial vision for an American Empire publishing The American Century in 1941.

In this influential manifesto, Luce called for the USA to abandon its historic antagonism to global empire and embrace its destiny as the dominant Hegemon of a world empire…

Luce was closely aligned to the same Rockefeller Foundation that had funded the War of the Worlds Broadcast in 1938, and joined the elite 1956 Special Studies Project funded by the Rockefeller Brothers Fund alongside Laurence Rockefeller, David Rockefeller, Nelson Rockefeller… and a young Henry Kissinger writing in Prospects for America that: “It was and is the American task to take the lead in creating a new form of world order.”

Henry Luce was also an early propagandist for another branch of the Cold War secret science program dubbed MK Ultra.

No actual comprehension of the hidden hand behind UFOs, could be understood without an appreciation for MK Ultra and the rise of a new drug laced spirituality.

Mind Wars with MK Ultra

MK Ultra was a vast secret science program which was revealed publicly during the Church Committee hearings of 1975.

Between 1953 until 1973, MK Ultra involved a vast complex of thousands of projects that developed a wide array of psychoactive drugs, hypnosis, trauma-based mind control, sexual abuse, sensory deprivation and psychological torture more broadly.

These horrific experiments carried out on millions of civilians involved the application of psychiatric theories premised on a mixture of Sigmund Freud, Pavlov (the founder of Behaviorism) and Carl Jung.

Just as the British Empire’s leading scientist Sir Henry Tizard oversaw the Manhattan Project during the 1940 Tizard Commission to Washington, and just as the same Sir Henry Tizard oversaw the largest government inquiry into UFOs with his 1950 Flying Saucer Working Group, we shouldn’t be surprised to again find Tizard hard at work here too as the initiator of MK Ultra.

In her book, The Shock Doctrine, Naomi Klein writes of a high-level meeting in Montreal, Canada overseen by Sir Tizard in 1951:

“One of the most controversial meetings [Henry Tizard] had to attend in his capacity as chair of the National Research Commission would only emerge many years later with the de-classification of CIA documents, namely a meeting on June 1st, 1951 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Montreal Canada, between Tizard, Omond Solandt (chairman of Defence Research and Development Canada) and representatives of the CIA to discuss ‘brainwashing’.”

This Ritz-Carleton meeting on brainwashing would lay the seeds for MK Ultra which innovated new uses for LSD, psylocibin, and DMT with the intention of breaking down a human mind into a blank slate, through depatterning, in order to then reconstruct those broken minds from scratch.

Creating New Realities with the CIA

Although commonly believed to be simply a popular vice or recreational activity, the fact is that a wide assortment of hallucinogenic Drugs have been used since ancient times as part of initiation ceremonies into various pagan mystery religions such as the Rites of Eleusis.

In World War 2, the Swiss chemist Dr. Albert Hoffmann found himself working on strains of ergot-- a fungus that grows on wheat which he found contained strong hallucinogenic properties.

Dr. Hoffman extracted a substance called lysergic-acid diethylamide from this ergot in 1943 which became known far and wide as LSD-25.

Throughout the Cold War, Hoffman’s LSD-25 continued to be developed by MI6 and the CIA… and tested on millions of unsuspecting human guinea pigs across the military, schools and psychiatric hospitals of America and England.

In 1974, Dr Hoffman wrote a book dubbed ‘The Road to Eleusis’ along side former JP Morgan vice president Gordon Wasson which posited that this hallucinogenic substance had been known to the priests of the ancient mystery religions which used a myriad of psychoactive drugs from opium to mushrooms, and ergot to induce ‘altered states’ during initiation ceremonies.

It was the view of the authors of The Road to Eleusis that the time had come to revive these ancient practices in the modern age.

It is here again that we find Henry Luce as a pioneer of MK Ultra propaganda with his Life Magazine being the first major press agency to promote the notion that psychedelic mushrooms were the gateway to a new spiritual liberation.

This was accomplished through the 1957 publication of JP Morgan vice president R. Gordon Wasson’s article “Seeking the Magic Mushroom”- documenting the bankers’ CIA sponsored 1955 hallucinogenic pilgrimage to Mexico.

As I outlined in my previous essay (RFK’s Soma Revolution) published in in UK Column:

“This was accomplished through the 1957 publication of JP Morgan vice president R. Gordon Wasson’s article “Seeking the Magic Mushroom”- documenting the bankers’ CIA sponsored 1955 hallucinogenic pilgrimage to Mexico.

Wasson’s highly publicized report in Life Magazine, and nation-wide speaking tour to hundreds of universities, served as a guidebook for millions of young beatnicks and hippies who would follow his footsteps into their own drug-induced initiation ceremonies in the coming decades.

These countless young admirers of Wasson would learn to shed their outdated beliefs in nationalism, family traditions, morality and god in favor of a radically new, sexualized, drug laced spirituality.

Apparently, the only people over 30 whom the burgeoning new age movement were expected to trust were those old people giving away free drugs.

Terrence McKenna on a trip visiting aliens in other dimensions… not demons in his sub-conscious

One of those young disciples of Wasson was a man named Terrence McKenna, who throughout the 1980s and 1990s did the most to promote psylocibins through his Green Earth Foundation which found vast patronage from none other than… Laurence Rockefeller (then head of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, Esalen Institute research, SRI projects, and the Disclosure Initiative).

McKenna distinguished himself by not only promoting psylocibins but also added his own thesis that benevolent aliens communicate to humanity via these mind drugs.”

Apparently getting high was all that humanity’s elites need to do in order to communicate with advanced ETs in other dimensions…. who have been kind enough to give us those technologies needed to build pyramids, taj mahals or even modern science itself.

The unification of extra terrestrial communication and psychoactive drugs became a normal component of the new age cosmology and played a role in Laurence Rockefeller’s creation of the Disclosure Project in 1992, employing a former military physician named Stephen Greer as its spokesman.

Over the coming years, the Disclosure Project served as an umbrella organization tying together hundreds of UFO-truth groups under a unified control as the Soviet Union collapsed winning the support of key figures within the new Clinton Whitehouse including both Bill and Hillary Clinton, and John Podesta.

It was while following Laurence Rockefeller’s initiative, that Bill Clinton released thousands of classified UFO documents to the public in 1993, and it was also during this time Hillary began visiting Laurence’s New Jersey Ranch.

Podesta made his UFO coming out party widely known in 2002 and has continued to devote himself to UFO disclosure for the next 22 years.

The irony that a JP Morgan vice president, a Rockefeller Family Patriarch, and fascist Media Mogul would become patrons of the counter culture was lost on many.

It is also worth noting that Henry Luce was not just a promoter of magic mushrooms and aliens, but was also an avid consumer of LSD-25, and did more than anyone alive to popularize this drug as well.

Luce’s biographer Stephen Siff wrote of the mogul’s embrace of LSD:

“Time and Life were fascinated by LSD. Henry Luce’s magazines discovered LSD in 1954 and remained enthusiastic even as the drug was becoming popular with recreational users, frequently discussing the experience in an explicitly biblical framework. Scare stories were balanced with endorsements of LSD by professors, businessmen, and celebrities, and some articles even read like advertisements” [Stephen Siff’s 2008 paper “Henry Luce’s Strange Trip: Coverage of LSD in Time and Life, 1954-68” ]

Many people have come to believe that the drug culture of the 1960s happened despite the CIA or Wall Street tycoons, but, the facts show that it was the CIA and military intelligence that developed the drugs which users have come to see as their spiritual liberation. Additionally, by promoting drugs as a key to mental health, personal liberation and even religious experiences, Henry Luce and Gordon Wasson were acting entirely as agents of the CIA and MK Ultra.

MK Ultra was overseen by CIA Director Allen Dulles as well as the American chemist and spymaster Sidney Gottlieb who both managed a vast array of experiments across North America.

In the CIA’s Harvard Psilocybin Project founded in 1958, a devoted disciple of both Dulles and Carl Jung named Dr Henry Murray used talented young students as test cases with a star guinea pig named Theodor Kaczynski coming out of the experience with a strange desire to murder anyone who promoted industrial civilization.

After sending murderous letter bombs out across America, Kaczynski won infamy and even a vast cult following as ‘The Unabomber’.

Other controllers of the Harvard Psilocybin Project included Richard Alpert (later known as Ram Das), Aldous Huxley and a certain LSD loving psychiatry teacher named Timothy Leary.

All three individuals soon joined Gordon Wasson, Albert Hoffman and Henry Luce as gurus of the newly forming counterculture where they pioneered a new age movement based on an embrace of ancient pagan mysticism, sex, drugs and rock and roll.

In 1961, Aldous Huxley described the importance of these new CIA “brain drugs” to Timothy Leary:

“These brain drugs, mass produced in the laboratories, will bring about vast changes in society. This will happen with or without you or me. All we can do is spread the word. The obstacle to this evolution, Timothy, is the Bible. “

Leary then reflected on the obstacles they encountered as they sought to flesh out their vision of a new enlightened religion:

“We had run up against the Judeo-Christian commitment to one God, one religion, one reality, that has cursed Europe for centuries and America since our founding days. Drugs that open the mind to multiple realities inevitably lead to a polytheistic view of the universe. We sensed that the time for a new humanist religion based on intelligence, good-natured pluralism and scientific paganism had arrived.”

America’s Secret Science Program proved terribly effective as an entire generation watched their world go dark, as the United States, once a beacon of freedom, now embarked upon a new age of militarism abroad, consumerism at home and CIA assassination programs everywhere.

With this conversion of the republic into a corrupt expansionist empire, the stage was set for a new reactionary youth movement ready to embrace a new religion based on drugs, sex and alien gods.

Exposing the New Sorcerers

Not all scientists who had worked within the corridors of America’s secret science program could be accused of being complicit in this dystopic agenda however.

One example is found in the figure of Manhattan Project chemist Dr. Leon Davidson who soon became a leading expert on unidentified flying objects.

Unlike other self-proclaimed UFO ‘experts’ of his day, Dr. Davidson was not politically naïve and diligently exposed the hand of Allen Dulles behind the grooming of a new belief in aliens.

Dr Davidson also took astute notice of the important role in this affair played by Allen Dulles’ fellow OSS Agent and mentor Carl Jung.

Davidson was among the very few truth seekers who recognized that Carl Jung’s 1959 book ‘Flying Saucers: A Modern Myth of Things Seen in the Sky’ was nothing short of a manual for social engineering and mass hypnosis in shaping a new religious order.

Davidson wrote:

“It became clear [to me], early in the 1950’s, that the CIA, specifically Allen Dulles, had used legitimate [civilian observations of] ‘flying saucers’ events […] as a tool in the Cold War. Dulles wanted Russia to waste effort on defences against objects having the extreme capabilities implied by the public saucer stories. […] Dulles also adopted a concept from his old friend Carl Jung, and co-opted the myth that benign aliens have visited Earth for millennia. He used magicians’ illusions, tricks, and showmanship to blend in sightings, landings, and contacts, with the legitimate military test sightings… Later, Dulles found the saucer believers and their clubs an ideal propaganda vehicle.”

It should be recalled that Carl Jung saw himself as a modern sorcerer, who believed it his destiny to overthrow Christianity by restoring a Dionysian gnostic paganism. This aim was made explicit by Jung who wrote of this new pagan revival in a 1912 letter to Sigmund Freud:

“I think we must give it time to infiltrate into people from many centers, to revivify among intellectuals a feeling for symbol and myth, ever so gently to transform Christ back into the soothsaying god of the vine, which he was, and in this way absorb those ecstatic instinctual forces of Christianity for the one purpose of making the cult and the sacred myth what they once were- a drunken feast of joy where man regained the ethos and holiness of an animal.”

Despite being hailed as a great psychologist to this day, the fact is that Jung was nothing short of a sun worshipping occultist obsessed with reviving the ancient mystery cults outlined by Wasson and Hoffman in The Road to Eleusis.

Jung had also believed that he was himself an initiate, having come into contact with several demonic entities over the years with names such as Philemon, and Abraxas.

Jung believed that the high initiate of secret mysteries would become liberated of all dualisms of right and wrong imposed upon us by culture, as light and darkness, and goodness and evil were integrated within ourselves.

Through this exercise, which of course involved the use of mind altering drugs, the initiate would become essentially a god.

Jung described his own awakening to his deification in a 1925 lecture:

“Awe surrounds the mysteries, particularly the mystery of deification. This was one of the most important of the mysteries- it gave certainty of immortality. One gets a peculiar feeling from being put through such an initiation. The important part that led up to the deification was the snake’s encoiling of me… The animal face which I felt mine transformed into was the famous Deus Leontocephalus of the Mithraic mysteries, the figure which is represented with a snake coiled around the man, the snake’s head resting on the man’s head, and the face of the man that of a lion. This statue has only been found in the mystery grottoes - the underchurches [Mithraeum], the last remnants of the catacombs.” [Jung, Analytical Psychology, p. 98]

Jung’s account of his deification hinged on the Ancient Persian Solar Deity Mithra which had been imported into Rome under the leadership of Rome’s general Pompey in 60 BC.

The Cult of Mithra became the most important religion rivalling the early Christian movement during the first four centuries after the death of Jesus.

The male-only mystery religion was a favorite among Rome’s Praetorian guards and elite legion, and operated in close proximity to the earth mother cult of Cybele and Isis, whose temples were typically located in close proximity to Mithraic enclaves.

All three cults practiced the Rites of Eleusis.

The Mithraic cult worshipped exclusively in underground caverns called Mithraeum of which over 400 have been discovered across Europe and North Africa to this day.

Jung wrote in Flying Saucers: A Modern Myth:

“UFOs have already led to the formation of a regular legend. Quite apart from the thousands of newspaper reports and articles there is now a whole literature on the subject… One thing is certain: They have become a living myth. We have here a golden opportunity of seeing how a legend is formed, and how in a difficult and dark time for humanity a miraculous tale grows up of an attempted intervention by extra-terrestrial “heavenly” powers- and this at the very time when human fantasy is seriously considering the possibility of space travel and of visiting or even invading other planets.”

Jung then turned his analysis of ETs inside out by casting it as a new global mythology that will usher in a post-Christian age of Aquarius.

He also asserted that these ETs represented a mass archetypal projection of ourselves onto the schizophrenic gods which each higher initiate of the ancient mysteries deified themselves into becoming. Jung writes:

“The UFOs could easily be conceived as ‘gods’. They are impressive manifestations of totality whose simple, round form portrays the archetype of the self, which as we know from experience plays the chief role in uniting apparently irreconcilable opposites and is therefore best suited to compensate the split mindedness of our age.”

“It has a particularly important role to play among the other archetypes in that it is primarily the regulator and orderer of chaotic states, giving the personality the greatest possible unity and wholeness.

“It creates the image of the divine-human personality, the Primordial Man or Anthropos, a chen-yen, an Elijah who calls down fire from heaven, rises up to heaven in a fiery chariot and is a forerunner of the Messiah, the dogmatized figure of Christ, as well as of Khidr, the Verdant One, who is another parallel to Elijah: like him, he wanders over the earth as a human personification of Allah.”

At this point it is important to re-emphasize that Jung was not merely a psychiatrist with a fetish for UFOs and ancient paganism, but was also a Swiss-based OSS agent during WW2 where he began a long-term relationship with Allen Dulles advising him on matters of psychological warfare.

CIA+ECM=UFOs

Dr. Leon Davidson recognized the mass hypnotic trickery deployed by the new sorcerers of the CIA then building up the edifice of a new sacred lore for humanity when he exposed the slight of hand known as ‘radar spoofing’ in his 1959 essay ‘‘CIA+ECM=UFOs: How to Cause a Radar Citing writing:

“I contend that since 1951, the CIA has caused or sponsored saucer sightings for its own purposes. By shrewd psychological manipulation, a series of “normal” events has been served up so as to appear as quite convincing evidence of extraterrestrial UFOs.”

Dr. Davidson cited a March 1957 edition of ‘Aviation Research and Development’ which read:

“A new radar moving target simulator system — which generates a display of up to 6 individual targets on any standard radar indicator — has been developed to train radar operators … and for in-flight testing of airborne early-warning personnel… Target positions, paths, and velocities can simulate realistic flight paths… Speeds up to 10,000 knots (about 11,500 mph) are easily generated… The target can be made to turn left or right… For each target there is adjustment to provide a realistic scope presentation.”

In the 1960s, the CIA took radar deception to new levels under Project Palladium, redefining the art of projecting ‘phantom aircraft’ on radar.

Over the last several decades, Digital Radio Frequency Units have been widely used by the US Navy and Airforce and proposals were made to use them to send false signals to Libya in the 1980s as part of a plan to overthrow President Qaddafi, under a CIA program dubbed VECTOR.

VECTOR proposed the USA send false signals to Libyan radar systems that would cause sufficient internal confusion within Libya’s military.

Under the veil of this confusion, a regime change could be effected.

When these plans were leaked to the press in 1986, the operation was abandoned.

But the strategy was picked up yet again when Tehran’s air defenses began picking up ghost aircraft on their radar in 2004 which was part of Dick Cheney’s efforts to conduct regime change on Iran.

There is ample reason to believe that this technology was used on Iran again in January 2020 when Iranian radar operators detected an incoming missile which their air defense shot down, only to realize in horror that what was destroyed was not a rocket but a civilian airplane.

The CIA and Area 51

As we evaluate the disturbing facts of this story, it is important to hold in mind that it was CIA deputy director Charles Cabell who had initiated Project Bluebook which ran UFO investigations from 1952 until 1969.

Additionally, it was Dulles’ close colleague Richard Bissell who headed the CIA’s Office of Policy Coordination, known as the ‘Psychological Warfare Division’ of the CIA.

While running psychological warfare, and targeted assassinations of nationalist leaders around the globe, Richard Bissell founded and managed one of the most sensitive experimental aircraft testing facilities dubbed ‘Area 51’.

From its earliest days in 1955, experimental aircraft like the U2 rocket, early drones and even flying saucer technology were tested in the Mojave Desert under the veil of cold war secrecy.

Area 51 was one of dozens of military ‘above top secret’ facilities overseen by the CIA and Air Force throughout the USA. Other prominent sites included the Walker Airforce base in Roswell New Mexico, Wright Patterson Airforce Base in Dayton Ohio, Plant 42 in Palmdale, and the Dulce airforce base in New Mexico (to name a few).

The thick veil of secrecy over Area 51 (which was only officially admitted to exist by the CIA in 2013) created a climate ripe for speculation and disinformation narratives.

The simultaneous role of Richard Bissell, Allen Dulles and Charles Cabell as pioneers of the new UFO sacred lore AND the CIA’s directing role of America’s drug culture should not be seen as disconnected from their role overseeing the transformation of the USA from a national republic into a global hegemon imposing its power via paramilitary coups, financial warfare and assassinations.

And it is also no coincidence that all three men would be fired by President John F Kennedy who held a very different conception of America’s role in the world than the dystopic nightmare advanced by CIA and MI6.

President Kennedy’s New Paradigm

When President Kennedy discovered the scope of the CIA’s renegade operations to enmesh the USA into a war with Vietnam, Cuba and the Soviet Union, he reacted with a force of moral courage which Dulles did not believe possible. At the end of 1961, JFK carried out a major purge of the CIA’s top brass including CIA director Allen Dulles, CIA deputy director Charles Cabell of Project Bluebook fame and CIA Director of Plans Richard Bissell stating that he would “splinter the CIA into a thousand pieces and scatter it into the winds”.

On October 11, 1963, Kennedy passed National Security Action Memorandum 263 to begin a phased withdrawal of US troops from the new war in Vietnam which Dulles’ CIA had prepared for years.

On September 20, 1963, President Kennedy delivered a groundbreaking speech to the United Nations calling for an end to the Cold War by introducing a new paradigm of cooperation through cutting edge technologies developed in the space program as a basis for friendship between Russians and Americans.

Kennedy understood that unless a positive mission based on creative discoveries and win-win cooperation could be accepted by the Russians and Americans alike, then it was only a matter of time before imperial thinking would lead the world towards thermonuclear annihilation.

Unfortunately, only four weeks after Kennedy’s offer for US-Russia space cooperation and three weeks after calling for ending the war in Vietnam, the president was murdered.

With Kennedy’s murder, followed by his brother’s murder only five years later, the takeover of the USA proceeded much more aggressively.

Vietnam and the Age of Unreality

The cauldron of Vietnam lit southeast Asia ablaze with the blood of millions of civilians and young American men for the coming decade.

The war in Vietnam also incubated a new breed of satanist that would soon become a vanguard inside of the US military with figures such as Edward Landsdale, The Temple of Set’s Colonel Michael Aquino, and UFO-logist Colonel John Alexander overseeing an overhaul of the US military.

This ‘revolution in military affairs’ was led by The Rockefeller-directed Trilateral Commission and implemented by Major General Albert Stubblebine head of U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command under Ronald Reagan.

This new breed of military satanist worked closely with General Stubblebine to bring MK Ultra into the official corridors of US military decision making.

Under their patronage, new age spoon benders emerged onto the scene. These were new military trainees who were taught that they could be modern Mithraic supersoldiers, or new Jedi Templar Knights. These soldiers were taught to astral project, destroy the hearts of their enemies with mind power and run through walls with the help of drugs and hypnotism. Some of the official names for these new military training programs begun in 1978 were: The First Earth Batallion, The Goat Lab and The Jedi Warriors.

One of the most important manifestos guiding this new military doctrine was written by Colonel Michael Aquino, the former lieutenant of Anton Levay’s Church of Satan who created his own satanic Church dubbed the Temple of Set after returning from Vietnam.

The document was dubbed Mindwar and called for a total war on the minds of the populations of the globe both enemy and friendly alike using next generation technologies and psychiatric techniques. Aquino writes:

“MindWar must be strategic in emphasis, with tactical applications playing a reinforcing, supplementary role. In its strategic context, MindWar must reach out to friends, enemies, and neutrals alike across the globe... State of the art developments in satellite communication, video recording techniques, and laser and optical transmission of broadcasts make possible a penetration of the minds of the world such as would have been inconceivable just a few years ago. Like the sword Excalibur [King Arthur’s magical sword—ed.], we have but to reach out and seize this tool; and it can transform the world for us if we have the courage and the integrity to enhance civilization with it. If we do not accept Excalibur, then we relinquish our ability to inspire foreign cultures with our morality. If they can then desire moralities unsatisfactory to us, we have no choice but to fight them on a more brutish level.”

While this transformation of the US military was unfolding, and America’s soul was slipping away, another of Lawrence Rockefeller’s sponsored projects was bringing the new UFO religion into reality via the Stargate Project at the Stanford Research Institute.

The Stargate Project attempted to create a scientific façade for paranormal activity, telepathy, and telekinesis using thousands of human guinea pigs and later fed into the Revolution in Military Affairs which ushered in the war against Terrorism starting with Desert Storm in Iraq, 9-11 and forever wars in the middle east since 2001.

This Rockefeller-funded program was staffed by several UFO promoting scientists affiliated with US military intelligence by the names of Harold Puthoff, Ingo Swann, Jacques Vallee and of course the shadowy figure J. Allan Hynek.

J Allan Hynek had been a controlling figure from the earliest days of the Cold War, serving as the lead scientist on Project Grudge, Project Sign, and Project Bluebook. He had also consulted Stephen Spielberg on the film ET, and created the codification system for close encounters, including Close Encounters of the Third Kind, even being given a role within Spielberg’s movie of the same name.

Hynek also delivered speeches to the United Nations calling for a world wide agency and database under a supranational agency to monitor UFO sightings in preparation for a full disclosure of ET-government collusion.

Hynek’s Rosicrucian Revival

It should be noted that until 1966 J Allen Hynek played the role of anti-UFO rationalist advancing the most absurd ‘scientific theories’ to explain away thousands of UFO observations made by civilians. AFTER 1965 however, something strange occurred, as Hynek came out of the closet and became the world’s loudest evangelist of UFO encounters and worked with his student Jacques Vallee to advance the interdimensional ET hypothesis by 1969 as outlined in Vallee’s Passport to Magonia. This 1969 book popularized the notion that ETs were interdimensional travelers shaping humanity’s evolution taking the form of demons, angels, poltergeists, and folk tales of elves, and fairies.

In a recent interview, Jacques Vallee, who had been a friend of the Church of Satan’s Anton Levay, described the secretive Rosicrucian order of which both he and J. Allan Hynek were life long members.

Question: Dr. Vallee, how did you become interested in the order of the Rose Cross, and what value did it have in your growth and development?

Dr. Jacques Vallee: As a young student, I must have been 18 or 19 when I first became interested. I was really looking for information about traditions and I became aware of the fact that science didn’t just come out of the imagination of a few people, that there was a tradition of research that went very far back, and that at some period in history had been actually underground. I was looking for information about that. That’s what led me to the Rosicrucian tradition

Question: I was surprised also to learn later on that Dr. Hynek was also a member for a number of years.

Dr. Jacques Vallee: Yes, I think I relate in my diary the time when we came to discussing this and I was delighted to learn that he had, for many years, gotten information from the tradition as wel… those organizations were very sincere and gave us a start.

The Mystery cult known as Rosicrucians originated in the early 15^th century, as a gnostic sect of sorcerers who based their secret teachings on a mixture of ancient mystery cults, sex magic, Hermeticism, alchemy and Kaballism.

When the Templar Order was discovered to be practicing black magic and worshipping the androgenous demon Baphomet, the Mithraic sect of Crusading mystic warriors was wiped out in the early 14^th century. After this crushing, the Rosicrucians became the new conduit for this anti-Christian sect devoted to creating a new order and a new type of humanity under a revived network of pagan deities overseen by necromancers, and high priests.

The Rise of the New Sorcerers

These new high priests would soon bring online a new UFO disclosure project called the National Institute for Discovery Science, funded by American billionaire Robert Bigelow and headquartered at a new occult command center named ‘Skinwalker Ranch’ in Ballard, Utah.

The National Institute for Discovery Science would work closely with Laurence Rockefeller’s Disclosure Project, bankrolling UFO disclosure literature and even sponsoring Senate House leader Harry Reid who passed legislation creating the Pentagon’s Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program in 2007.

This agency also oversaw the creation of Tom Delonge’s To The Stars Academy in 2014 and did much to launch Congressional hearings on UFOs featuring testimonials from such military intelligence assets as David Grusch and Luis Elizondo.

Leading figures within the American deep state could be found advising this new ‘civilian UFO disclosure agency’ including a CIA director of operations, former Deputy Assistant secretary for Defense Intelligence, former Director of Information for White House Technology, and former chief of the CIA’s counter-biological weapons program.

Throughout the Cold War, the mythology of “Extra Terrestrial gods” both seeding and overseeing humanity’s evolution across millennia would be cultivated by the modern sorcerers of the CIA- following the template of HG Wells.

A Universal Lesson in Navigating Troubled Waters

“There is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret but that it should come to light. If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.”

-Gospel of Mark 4: 22-23

The imagery of the twelve disciples caught in a terrible storm on the Sea of Galilee with their teacher Jesus had caught the imagination of generations of Christians after the Apostle Mark recounted the story in chapter four of his Gospel some time around 71 AD amidst Nero’s persecution of the early Christians and destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem.

The imagery of shaken faith of Jesus’ followers, the fear of our mortality, the loss of sense of control over our fates, and the feeling of injustice that lives may be cut short before our hopes can be fulfilled are universal motifs.

With each generation, men and women are challenged to face the discrepancy between their moral ideals, their sense of values and those tumultuous waves of despair and injustice that fall upon our lives, testing our faith with each step.

Thus, it is understandable that amidst the terrible violence of the Thirty Years War that tore across Europe from 1618 to 1648, and which saw millions of Christians die by the hands of fellow Christians, that faith in a loving God was being challenged like never before. In this chaotic period, a young Dutch painter by the name of Rembrandt van Rijn found within the story of the storm at the Sea of Galilee, a theme that merited artistic expression. But how to best do it?

Rembrandt’s rendition stands out from all efforts to paint this scene before or since due to several unique innovations that had never been attempted before.

For one thing, Rembrandt uses chiaroscuro (the science of light and darkness) to convey a visceral tension within the painting.

Where light signifies hope, reason, life and action. Darkness symbolises fear, emotional turmoil, inaction. And the characters aboard Jesus’ fishing vessel are pulled in either direction. The light and shadow also showcase the ironical coexistence of the two states of mind of passengers aboard the endangered ship.

Cast in shadowed lower half of the painting, several disciples are imprisoned by their fears.

One disciple is literally portrayed vomiting over the side of the boat, while another grovels below Jesus praying, and three other disciples plead with the master to wake up and join them in their terror. Another looks on towards the audience and another sits passively looking at the front of the ship.

However, moving the eye toward the light which pierces through the dark clouds and casts itself upon the front of the ship, we find five disciples hard at work taking responsibility for everyone by enforcing the rope and sails of the beleaguered vessel.

Behind Jesus only one man whose eyes are firmly set upon the horizon ahead of him has taken responsibility for the safety of the ship, by taking control of the rudder with all his might.

Now Rembrandt did something which some may consider heretical…he went beyond the literally words transcribed in Mark 4:35-41.

Where those literal words only speak of fearful disciples amidst the storm and a stern Jesus chastising them for lacking faith in his ability to invoke the supernatural power of calming the storm devoid of any human effort, Rembrandt chose to infuse a moral lesson by featuring two opposing sets of disciples… those drowning in despair waiting for miracles to save their lives, while the other group recognizes that real miracles only come from overcoming fear, and taking action amidst a crisis.

But there is yet another layer to Rembrandt’s story.

How many disciples are on this fishing vessel?

We all know there were twelve disciples. And nothing contained within the gospel of Mark would indicate otherwise.

And yet, if we count the figures around Jesus… there are clearly thirteen people on that ship. So why the discrepancy?

If we focus on the singular figure featured in the perfect center of the frame dressed in a blue shirt who is looking at every person standing in front of the painting, something stands out.

That figure holding his head with one hand, and the rope with another is in fact, the great artist himself… It is Rembrandt van Rijn!

Fortunately, we can know this for certain thanks to Rembrandt’s dozens of surviving self-portraits that survived the sands of time and allow us not only a glance into his face at all stages of his adult life, but also a deeper look into his character, personality and moral disposition.

Looking through his self-portraits, we find not an exercise in ego, or self-love, but rather an exercise in journaling, in humor, and an effort to speak autobiographically in a figurative language. Rembrandt always paints more than the surface appearance of the flesh but consistently attempts to ‘capture’ a glimpse of the soul.

But the question remains… why did Rembrandt include himself within this iconic story?

And of all poses why feature himself looking at the audience?

Could it be that Rembrandt, who is living through the chaos of the Thirty Years War, was trying to convey a message that would transcend the vast chasm of time and space itself?

By conveying his own feelings of concern within the context of this historically bleak moment, while looking directly into the eyes of his viewers, Rembrandt is carrying out a trans-generational dialogue with each of us who can feel what he feels despite being separated from his life by centuries.

The catharsis of that eternal sympathy makes it possible to step into the shoes of those who walked with Jesus and were captured by fear on the sea of Galilee two millennia ago.

Just like it was two thousand years ago amidst the evil structures of Rome, and just like it was in the Netherlands in 1633, we again have a choice.

We can choose to be caught as prisoners to our impotent fears and weep in the comfortable embrace of darkness…or we can choose to use the light of reason and construct our hope on the foundations of a firm faith grounded by reason.

Rembrandt’s choice to place himself on the borderland between the two states of darkness and light was perhaps his way of conveying a sense of struggle which he felt in his own heart, and which he knew all good men and women at all times would naturally feel, pulled in opposing directions when faced with existential crisis.

Were the figure of Jesus watching us today, would he wish us to do nothing in the face of evil?

Would he want us to ignore the world by praying solemnly awaiting a rapture?

Would he want us to passively let injustice reign and innocents suffer telling ourselves that our place is to have faith without works?

Or would he want us all to stand up and make a creative intervention using the lessons that he lovingly delivered throughout the gospels as a whole and in this fourth book of Mark specifically?

The lessons of the mustard seed, and the importance of seeing our words and actions (and works of art) as seeds in the minds of men that may not sprout, despite the fact that we are obliged to spread the truth far and wide and poetically. That our words may fall on many a deaf ear, or eyes that cannot see beyond the barren surface appearance of things is irrelevant to our mandate to pursue, love, defend and spread truth. And as the great master taught, despite the many seeds that will fall on barren soil, truth will find its proper fertile ground in the most surprising times and places… and by its nature, will take hold, sprout, and flourish.

“Listen! Behold, a sower went out to sow. And it happened, as he sowed, that some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds ^[a]of the air came and devoured it. Some fell on stony ground, where it did not have much earth; and immediately it sprang up because it had no depth of earth. But when the sun was up it was scorched, and because it had no root it withered away. And some seed fell among thorns; and the thorns grew up and choked it, and it yielded no crop. But other seed fell on good ground and yielded a crop that sprang up, increased and produced: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred. And He said to them, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

But when He was alone, those around Him with the twelve asked Him about the parable. And He said to them, “To you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to those who are outside, all things come in parables, so that

‘Seeing they may see and not perceive,
And hearing they may hear and not understand;
Lest they should turn,
And their sins be forgiven them.’”

And He said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables? The sower sows the word. And these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts. These likewise are the ones sown on stony ground who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with gladness; and they have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time. Afterward, when tribulation or persecution arises for the word’s sake, immediately they stumble. Now these are the ones sown among thorns; they are the ones who hear the word, and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. But these are the ones sown on good ground, those who hear the word, accept it, and bear fruit: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.”

Also He said to them, “Is a lamp brought to be put under a basket or under a bed? Is it not to be set on a lampstand? For there is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret but that it should come to light. If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.”

Then He said to them, “Take heed what you hear. With the same measure you use, it will be measured to you; and to you who hear, more will be given. For whoever has, to him more will be given; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.”

And He said, “The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground, and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how. For the earth yields crops by itself: first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head. But when the grain ripens, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.”

Then He said, “To what shall we liken the kingdom of God? Or with what parable shall we picture it? It is like a mustard seed which, when it is sown on the ground, is smaller than all the seeds on earth; but when it is sown, it grows up and becomes greater than all herbs, and shoots out large branches, so that the birds of the air may nest under its shade.”

And with many such parables He spoke the word to them as they were able to hear it. But without a parable He did not speak to them. And when they were alone, He explained all things to His disciples.

On the same day, when evening had come, He said to them, “Let us cross over to the other side.” Now when they had left the multitude, they took Him along in the boat as He was. And other little boats were also with Him. And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?”

Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?” And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, “Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!”

The Meaning of the Parable

Many would look upon this simple text without the eyes of a poet and in their own simplicity fail to see something true beyond the literal surface appearance of the words.

Was Rembrandt wrong to construct his visual poem the way he did?

A literalist would say ‘yes’. For the painter is showcasing ideas and actions that were not present in the literal words written by the Apostle Mark… yet was Mark or his teacher using a literal method of communication?

Did Mark simply mean for the reader to accept the supernatural message of Jesus’ power to command the wind and waters devoid of any higher lessons or personal responsibility?

Or was a higher truth planted as a seed to be found and nurtured by those who have the eyes to ‘see that they may truly perceive, and hear and truly understand?’
