Thank you, Matt, for taking the initiative of counterposing the two different strands of the Vatican. That takes courage.

It would really be so much easier if all evil was shrouded by the smell of sulphur! :)

This catholic household is glad to see the end of him. For those wanting to know more about him a good read is Dictator Pope - primarily set during his time in Argentina. Contrary to public belief we found when we were in Argentina a couple of years ago he was loathed by many there. Long memories held from the time of 1976 to 1983 and the continuing vigil of the Mothers of the Disappeared descendants. My husband started out as a Jesuit novice but after a few years left - disillusioned by them. There is a great difference between faith and church. He has always eyed this Pope with great distain. The irony of this for us was that on Easter Sunday evening we watched Conclave and discussed the Vatican with its history of politics, corruption, intrigue, scandals , cover ups, murder and evil. Few popes have ever been in history men of God! Easter Monday this man was dead. Despite the global spin many Catholics across the world truthfully will not mourn him.

Let’s see what we get next 🥴

Good piece Matt
