It is only be recognizing the flaws and fallacies built upon generations of lies that an insight into the structural defects of this unipolar obsession can be gleaned.
Everyone should read your article. I am still not clear however how if we continue with vertical governments it will be possible to keep out the corrupters from intimidating, murdering, bribing, or blackmailing whoever is at the top. This is why I keep pushing for restructuring to horizontal governing, autonomously and collectively (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wywMhg604W8&t=10s). Of course, democracy is a farce if the media is misinforming the public. This is assuming that the media would be also bottom up, transparent, and uncorrupted. I hope that you have a clear answer for this.
You do a wonderful job of investigating the history of covert power and exposing the alliances that escape public attention. Since you mentioned the Whitlam coup there's my favorite piece about the CIA coup that predates Pilger's wonderful reporting.
Fun side note, The Falcon and The Snowman book/movie is based on true story of Christopher Boyce who found the Aussie coup intercept cables and was ultimately jailed for his role in the NatSec scandal. He or partner Cait would be a great interview for you to do.
Our 500+ year "system" of Western planetary control is in reality one large interconnected criminal cabal - and as George Carlin put it so clearly - we (the population) - "ain't in it."
