Ugly truths which some had preferred be kept in the dark have been pulled into the light of day as a mass grave of 215 children was discovered this month in Kamloops BC using ground penetrating radar.
Thank you, Matthew! Your continued efforts to expose truth and seek justice are far too few! I am surprised at the suggest of both the UN & Vatican being considered as honest brokers in this situation with the native people's abuse by churches and governments over centuries - both are grossly tainted with their own histories of atrocities and abuse! Where can we look to find some who will have the integrity and power not only to investigate - we have had lots of that - but implement in a restorative way so that this type of exploitation never occurs again for the native peoples as well as any other groups which are the target of similar government isolation - read Christian faith groups while other faith groups are exempt.
The truth is not possible to express in this politically correct and hypersensitive world . The residential school system was a solution the government had come up with to a complicated problem . The native way of life was based on publicly shared land where one would hunt , harvest or grow food where ever one set up camp. this system worked with a small population scattered over a vast territory , and yet often led to wars between tribes. The settlers way of life was based on private ownership of a defined lot ,where each one grows his food from that piece of land . This system allowed for a much higher population on a given territory . In an Organized country , the two systems can not co-exist . The residential schools were meant to train the natives to adopt the settlers way of life . For some it was a success (those we dont hear about ,because they are successful and happy.) For others it was a fail because they could not , or did not adapt. The reality is that the native way of life , for good or for ill , is not possible anymore . The problems will exist until one way of life or the other is abandoned .

Thank you. First nations populations, around the world, have been respectful of nature but global geoengineering is omnicide! https://www.geoengineeringwatch.org/geoengineered-winter-weather-the-chemical-ice-nucleation-factor/#comment-1085554
