The US and the EU have been quite successful creating a new iron curtain, a few hundred miles to the east.

Where I live (which still has a vibrant manufacturing sector) companies are starting to get nervous now that they are being cut off from resources and export markets.

De-industrialization is the most likely scenario.

If they are sincere about this Infrastructure, they shouldn't have blown up the Nord Stream II pipelines. It is a propaganda maneuver to sabotage BRI. Once those countries buy in this idea and distance themself from BRI, there will be nothing accomplished. The sea power hate to see a peacefully linked Eurasia continent.

Moreover, INSTC was originally mooted by India & Russia with a view to facilitating their mutual overland trade and their trade with Europe via Iran, but the plan fell into abeyance well before the Ukraine-Russia war. The US will thus have to take India’s views into careful consideration when planning to prevent Eurasian integration. New Delhi’s refusal to join RCEP should not be interpreted as a sign that it’s allegiance will eventually move westward rather than east. The fact that India remains in BRICS - and it is or was the biggest borrower from the New Development Band - plus its continuing membership of the SCO strongly suggests that India has Eurasia on its mind, just not as a junior partner of China.
