I'm certain that M16 were behind it... but I'm still perplexed by the interview given by the two suspects (allegedly shown on Russian tv.) They couldn't have looked more like secret service men and gave a squirming and laughable account of their visit to Salisbury to see the 'famous cathedral spire...'
I wonder if this book addresses that - it has played on my mind ever since.
