The 'State' is a kind of parasite on the material flesh of man, sucking his life force like a leech. There is little chance that leeches are going to become extinct, just so the leech of the State. One of the challenges of individual man (not tribal man, not group-think man, nor collectivist man) is to be able to differentiate sufficiently within himself to be able to turn his leeching appetites and those of the State into something, perhaps a beneficent talent, useful to his brothers and of delight to God. It's a transformation game, moment to moment. Because if man does not do this, he will be eaten up by his appetites, or the State, one and the same, as was in the riddle of Samson "out of the eater came forth meat". Just being one step ahead is the rub, just enough to stay awake and to wake enough of his brothers before the jaws of the beast devour him/them. It's not quantity, but quality of men that interests God, each man in a battle of 'motive purification'. It's the state of individual man's 'will' that interests God. This was the lesson of Cain and Abel in Genesis 4. Those that think they are doing God a favour by depopulating the earth, by whatever canny Cainish means, are sadly mistaken. God can manage the earth's population without any help, and in a million ways unknown to scientific materialist 'digger in the earth' man. HE can shake off the trouble like a dog shedding water after a swim, and God has His instruments (the brighter ones of man) and he has His Son to step in occasionally, when needed. Eliminating the leeches of Rhodes from the population won't change the world for the better; it will just allow another type to take their place. One step ahead is all a man can expect, at best. Keep up the battle...!
