I recently had the pleasure of joining Brigid once again on ‘The Probably Cancelled’ podcast to discuss the clash of the two Americas, the oligarchical plans to do again what they planned and failed to achieve in the 1860s, and the continuous thread tying ALL American assassinations together.
Matt, why do you consider the "preservation of the Union" in 1865 as a good thing, particularly in light of the atrocious history of the US since then? And why oh why do you want the US to stay together now that it has utterly morphed into an oligarchic Imperial hegemony?
I could see a reversion to a hyper federal conglomerate of states w no more than two dozen people in dc to dust off the monuments occasionally, but since that has zero chance of happening, a peaceful split of some kind seems highly preferable, dont you think?
