In the past seven years, I've been studying history , particularly the histories of medicine, presented in Foucault's excellent research and perspectives. Here's a quote for "Abnormal" which I've posted many times since 2020, with never a reaction or response. Foucault has been somewhat demonized, but his work is sterling, in my opinion.

One thing comes to mind as I read about the Rhodes Scholarships. Those with that designation appear to be not unlike the WEF Young Leaders Program. The stated goal of Rhodes scholars was to “determine the course of international politics”. However, that is just a nice way of saying ‘world dominance’ an effort taken up under the false premise of “world peace” by them and others to follow. Is there some value in only knowing the myth, so in order to shed it, like Santa and the Tooth Fairy? Right now, I feel like it's a little too much to tell a 10 year-old that an evil cabal runs the world, but I dont want him to think it is some benevolent god king either.

I don't know that I would want a ten year old not to realize it.
I would want him to understand there was a reason beyond Dad being mean that there was no TV, for just one basic example
Just my opinion, not telling you how to raise your kid. I just don't see a point in fostering innocence in an evil time.

You are making the error of using language that presumes any particular 'nation' or ethnic group is to blame for the evils of the past centuries. You are only benefiting the oligarchy by doing this. I can't see how so much can continue to be denied. Yes, of course, this wealth quickly produced on this land had everything to do with slavery; but first, genocide, in order to establish "ownership" of the land. This is a european trip here, and europe has long been about slavery. How the heck else can there be such enormous militaries? We're so deep into the slavery model, we don't even recognize it anymore. What's not slavish about a soldier...sold to die...? The majority of immigrants from europe and asia were persons who were owned, and owed. They didn't, could not, pay their own passage. They were shipped out to work here. By those who already owned them. Africans weren't the only european slaves, they have continually enslaved one another. Many Irish were enslaved by the german/brits. The euro nations have been at war with one another continuously, and what else is war for but to enslave?
