Thanks Matt. I agree with your take on nuclear energy. Is there any chance of the CANDU reactor making a comeback? My problem with the idea that man can go to Mars is that we are natural creatures of Earth. We only survive here because of our symbiotic relationship with this Earth's environment. The 40 thousand plus microbes in our gut can only live on Earth. We have removed ourselves from this symbiotic relationship because we tried to control it before understanding it. Our gut biome has now been ruined by glyphosate , GMO food, vaccines and pharmaceuticals.
If we keep this up, no one will be healthy enough to go up two flights of stairs, let alone, the Moon and Mars.
The US posseses multiple radical energy technologies it has withheld for economic reasons (keep oil companies busy). Nuclear energy is stupid next to these. Expect a discontinuity to "reset" all current projections.
