In an attempt to get some perspective I read Simon Sebag Montefiore's 'The Red Tsar ' the fall before last, ( autumn, here. ) was unputdownable, and quite a commitment to get it finished.. read at breaks in work, before tea, last thing before bed and all weekend some times. In all of that horror what stuck with me was the punch line to the Beatles song "Why don't we do it in the Road?" . Turns out at the height of his Mythos, caught short visiting a vanquished German front line, too afraid of possibly mined and boobytraped woods surrounding the ride home, Joe opted to void his bowls right there in the road. Naturally the other members of his company looked away. In another instance there's also a sentence or two where having lost all semblance of human intimacy Stalin surprises himself into apologising for 'everything!' to a the poor lady whose accidently crashed into his staff car.

Really enjoyed the Badlands Media talk. Ive always tried to keep up with Russian culture and ideas, glad I found these new perspectives you present so well.

If it weren't for the timing of Navalny's wife, I'd say the 4 mRNA clotshots he allegedly received from the german embassy are more reliable than novichok.
