OMG yes.

Grade 2, age 7 or 8, yes, an adequate age to investigate how carbon in air (CO²), turns up in great tree trunks, and humans, as glucose/starch/flesh/wood (C⁶H¹²O⁶, et al) and is returned to air. After climate warms, we get more CO² in air, not the other way around. The planet is MORE forested than 100 years ago, not less.

Electric power and rail transport lifts populations out of poverty and makes new friends, cancels wars.

OK, some of that is a "Kindergarten" lesson, a lesson that 7- or 8-year-olds could competently teach their younger brothers and sisters.

I know. Try explaining that to schooling experts (psychologists, counselors, reading specialists, curriculum specialists, etc.).

strikes a match,

lights another candle.

Know anybody with an unlit candle? Light 'em up. Shine. What. You gonna hide the fact that you are the light of the world, salt of the earth?

Aim up.
