The full definitions of both "liberatarian", and "nationalist", are such that any given speaker can believable define them as either very compatible, or in mortal conflict, or anywhere in between. Any nation-state will have Nationalists supporting it, including some who consider themselves libertarian. Some libertarians also embrace their own native or adopted nations. As valid as this argument is rhetorically, - that "nationalist" & "libertarian" are not, and cannot be synonymous, nevertheless, translated into day-to-day human reality, EITHER, and BOTH are compatible. The ideas which a person holds in their head & heart need not either compel or restrict any given act or action. In other words, there are HEAD GAMES, and then there is REALITY. ....ALL of politics are merely headgames....and reality is reality....anybody can act against their conscience. And BULLSHIT is rampant. Bullshit is bullshit. Politics is bullshit. But is reality itself bullshit?....
reality hovers between the seen and the unseen. it is highly subjective and it requires the use of all our senses (including common sense) to address it. and by the time we're beginning to understand what it is and how it works, we'll be fetched by the Big Chief. so it might be best to enjoy the good parts, feeling miserable won't solve anything :-))
